I don't think Toei can afford to be wasting time making last minute changes. Doesn't it take, like, a few weeks - a month just to write an episode?precita wrote:I wonder if this is all last minute changes by the writers from whatever Toriyama's original plan was.
First Buu gets replaced, then they choose Freeza, then Freeza leaves too? What the hell? And they keep throwing in all these Yamcha jokes? Something about this all feels fishy.

It takes about 3 weeks to write a Super episode. Some even take a month depending on the episode.

The scripts themselves only take a few weeks from my understanding, so changes could be made, but it's not particularly likely. However, there's no evidence of any change in the first place.Boo Machine wrote:I don't think Toei can afford to be wasting time making last minute changes. That's why I posted this because I didn't get the romance angleSSJ YUSUKE wrote:I was referring to Caulifla x Kalekinisking wrote:It should be obvious, when shes transforming she doesn't even mention Cabba so it's not the sole reason for her transformation.SSJ YUSUKE wrote: Yep, this is a much better explanation than the romance angle.

It makes no sense to me how some people apparently believe that if a story is not entirely linear and predictable, then it's definitely due to some "last minute change" (as if that's even possible in an anime chaotic production).Jinzoningen MULE wrote:The scripts themselves only take a few weeks from my understanding, so changes could be made, but it's not particularly likely. If anything, the reception to the FT arc, compared to the Champa one, probably made them realize that people do want twists, surprises and mystery over a more linear and safe plotline.

Have the aforementioned leaks been confirmed yet?

I don't think so, but the consensus at the moment seems to be that they're real, or at least very believable. I'm waiting for an official confirmation, but if it's so, I'd be fine with it.Jaden wrote:Have the aforementioned leaks been confirmed yet?
Perhaps this will tie in to Freeza's scheme with Frost, as well. Perhaps if they fight for Universe 4, Freeza doesn't have to go back to Hell and Frost doesn't have to go back into hiding. That sounds interesting to me.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Why not? I expect differences in events like the Zen Exhibition Match because so far in the grand scheme of the plot, they're not really important events. However, Frieza joining another universes team is a much more important plot point one I doubt wouldn't be Toriyama's outline. So, yes, i would expect the manga to have Frieza switching teams (If the leaks are true and there's no ulterior context that has yet to be revealed)Noah wrote:Sure, but don't tell me you expect this same events happen the same way in the manga, there will be likely some differences.Kanassa wrote:Why are you putting this on the two T's? This is way too much of a big plot point to not be in Toriyama's outline.Noah wrote:It seems like Toei/Toyotaro are playing safe there, sadly.

I remember the first leaks of Freeza being the 10th member came from 2ch too and everyone thought they were fake at first, and lo and behold it was real.Jaden wrote:Have the aforementioned leaks been confirmed yet?
So these leaks are probably real too.

Was not this forum that came out the rumor of "triple merger"? That can be fake too. Is Hayabusa also reliable?precita wrote:I remember the first leaks of Freeza being the 10th member came from 2ch too and everyone thought they were fake at first, and lo and behold it was real.Jaden wrote:Have the aforementioned leaks been confirmed yet?

-New Lacco Tower Ending-
Ending 3 by Lacco Tower is still my favourite DBS Ending, so I'm hyped for their next one. I'll miss Boogie Back though!
-Leaked titles-
Ehhh, I don't remember episode titles leak so soon and 5 of them just make it more doubtful...Not gonna believe in any of that until I see the official scans.

Totally agree. Freeza being good ruins his character imho.SSJ YUSUKE wrote:Frieza is Evil. It would be out of character for him to all of a sudden get chummy with the U7 fighter's. Did people really expect him to become another Piccolo or Vegeta? The thing that makes Frieza great is his role as a villian , I don't want to see a good Frieza I want to see the arrogant back stabbing villain that he has always been, that's what makes him one of the most iconic villains in the entire series. And to be honest Frieza deserves a chance at being a legitimate threat after the underwhelming ROF arc which kind of hurt the character.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If the leaks are true and people who fall out the ring die then this feeds into a theory I had. When the tournament ends they will wish all the contestants back to life and the way they word it will also make Freeza come back to life.

Absolutely hate the idea of him going to another universe. Just because he may dislike U7 doesnt mean he would end up liking any universe any better. At the end of the day it is all about Frieza and unless he sees another team winning I doubt he moves on.
Having him forcibly work with the team and hate it makes 100% sense. All this switching universes talk is stupid. You were born in your universe...you shouldnt be allowed to compete for another period.

I thought we were going to have a new Frieza arc (after the tournament) after Frieza made the deal with Goku.Dbzfan94 wrote:Totally agree. Well that would mean they took away literally the only two things I wanted to see this arc AND ruined the power scaling.
If this is Toriyamas idea he needs to retire. Period.

I'd hope not. Freeza just died, having him come back for the main villain AGAIN would just be really dumb.SSBX wrote:I thought we were going to have a new Frieza arc (after the tournament) after Frieza made the deal with Goku.Dbzfan94 wrote:Totally agree. Everyone is building off the mouse god of destruction's saying he has a plan for these episode titles. I'm not sure but they seem to good to be true, universes coming on Earth to compete for Freeza or to sabotage? It sounds weird.

Though in this case I hope its true. If not Toriyama is just throwing feces against a wall which is beneath him.
