Would you prefer if Freeza... (SPOILERS)?

Sorry for title of topic, but i wasnt sure how to write it without giving spoilers, basically, few days ago leaks appear that said that Freeza will betray our Universe and join Universe 4, but it turned out to be fake (if one of Toei employers did that, i must applaud them for such trolling ). Would you prefer if Freeza betrayal was true, and Goku and others would need to find another fighter, or would you prefer if Freeza stayed and fight alongside Z-Warriors? Personally, i would prefer if he stay, i loved his interaction with Goku, and how their hands slipped, and would love to see more of that, and with other fighters from our Universe.

I would prefer if he stayed. The most interesting aspect is how he interacts with the U7 team. In fact, I will be very disappointed if he fought for any other universe. I'm biting my nails hoping the spoilers are fake. The ONE percent chance of them being real still has me on edge. Next week can't come fast enough.

His participation in today's episode and interaction with Goku only made me even more anxious to see him fight with the Z-Figters.
All his cruelty and perversity, and the way he's going to kill the killers in the next episode seems pretty characteristic of him.

Toshio Yoshitaka (one of DBS's writers) said the EP 96 synopsis was fake. He also hinted that Yamcha would not participate in the tournament.
The leaks are also different in relation to the episodes.

But I was intrigued by the fact that, according to the FujiTV preview, Freeza will change his goal in the middle of the battle. I do not think it has anything to do with these leaks (after all, in those spoilers it was said that Kitera would put together a plan in the middle Of the fight, but he already did it in this episode and ordered Sidra to kill Freeza), but it's strange

I never trusted the leaks and part of it wss because that would be purposely throwing away a good opportunity of freeza interacting with others and finally showing how much of a ruthless badass he can be when he is up against anyone but Goku..

This should make for a good time, and seeing the way their interactions are going in this arc it's not a long shot to say freeza would provide a lot of quality entertainment

Obviously, i prefer Frieza to stay on the team. DB super desperately needs him. Vegeta vs Goku is old news, boring and repetitive, Frieza is much better than Vegeta and he can make a true rivalry with Goku, the same is valid for Hitto. I would put Frieza and Hitto on the team in the next arc, but, in this one i'm all in with Frieza since he has transformations to keep up with the Saiyajins and he can compete with them forever.

I've been vocal about how much I dislike the idea of any fighter switching Universes when the whole premise is seeing which one deserves to remain.

Also Frieza isfnt an idiot...he may hate Goku and Vegeta but he recognizes their power. It wouldnt make sense to switch to a team he knows nothing about the chances of survival in.

I actually was hoping that they were true, Freeza coming back just to betray the team seemed natural. Also if a fighter from another universe seemed stronger the Goku, then he would side with the winning team. Also it would be nice to give Goku some development in that his choices have Consequences.

I want him to stay on the team and fight with them until the end without betraying them.

But no he doesn't need to become a good guy. Maybe he doesn't need to stay a sinister and dangerous villain but he should become an ally. He should always be some kind of threat out in the world.

He's Dragon Balls signature villain so I don't wanna see him killed off again. I'm not sure what I wanna see done with him but he should be the Joker to Goku's Batman.

While I'd generally trust Toriyama to do right by his audience as far as major plot points ...

There is no way I can conceive of that the scenario outlined by the rumors/fake leaks isn't significantly less interesting than keeping Freeza on the team.

This is especially true because the Freeza isn't even the strongest character around at this point, something that, between Goku, Vegeta and the long-teased Jiren, has been pointed out many times. There's no way "Oh no, we accidentally gave another team a powerful, but not the most powerful, fighter" is more interesting than the character-based tension of "Oh no, we have to cooperate with our long-time enemy/Goku's weird boyfriend Freeza."

Freeza will remain with universe 7 and serve 1 major purpose.

Number 1. He will make other universes be completely convinced universe 7 is the true enemy. Universe 9 already started it and universe 11 is also on board. They believe universe 7 to be evil. And what better way than to have Freeza slaughtering people. I also believe Freeza will end up killing Toppo to further justify their efforts to destroy us.

Toriyama has always liked Freeza, he was his final villain for a reason. He has a soft spot for him. Anybody that thinks Freeza will be made a fool is crazy. He'll end up losing do to his power drain which is predictable..but not before he has a power ++ and whoops some serious ass.

His goal change will be from slaughtering everyone to staying alive. Book it.

I would have most preferred if he falsely betrayed them somehow, and them came through clutch in the ToP by using his new "in" with the other universes as a tool for their own demises. That said, Frieza betraying U7 makes zero sense at all for a huge multitude of reasons, so the pragmatist in me wants him to stay. The worst possible thing they could write in at this point is a straight up betrayal.

We've seen Freeza fight Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Gohan in the past. Do we really need that again? The more interesting thing is to see how they co exist.
