For what it's worth, I liked the level of restraint Super has had when it comes to Goku and new God forms. 3 arcs with Blue, I wish it was like that in Z. I don't think Goku should get a new form. He probably will, but I don't think he should.

Nope. Get rid of forms altogether. Have Whis or one of the gods wave their hand and say "Boom, you're at full strength now. You don't need to turn SSJ 1, 2 ,3 God or Blue or Pink or Purple or whatever anymore."

I have a feeling that if they want to match the EOZ and then kind of follow the GT path, they might have Whis strip Goku and Vegeta of their God ki. Then Goku and Vegeta would have to train with their SSJ forms again and would be back on track to unlock SSJ4.

This is all if the writers want to keep SSJ4 around or not. Because if they do, it wouldn't make sense to have SSJB or beyond powers but then also have Goku and Vegeta introduce SSJ4 since SSJB is way above SSJ4

I honestly don't care. I don't think there should have been any more SSJ forms after SSJ3, but at this stage it's just a gimmick to sell more merchandise. If design is interesting and method to obtain is unique enough, I'll be fine with it. If Super go the lazy route and just have another SSJ re-colour, I'll be indifferent to. I'm just so numb to the concept a new SSJ form, especially for Goku. It's lost its mystique many years ago.

I'm not a fan of the escalating forms, and haven't been since I found out they started numbering them. (And yet SSJ 3 is my favorite) So I hope the God forms don't get the same treatment.

If Goku is getting a new form I want it to be different from the others. Also not something he can just pop in and out of like he does with everything else. a little vague but I don't even know what I want for sure. So I'll just wait and see what I get.

I also feel like you. I would like the new form to be a permanent power-up that cancels every other form (bar base unless it doesn't bring any physical change).
I'm tired of seeing Goku always holding back by changing between his forms, so I'd like to see things go back to how they used to be in OG Dragon Ball. That's also how every character except for the Saiyans works.

Nothing ever implied the old forms were gone at all in Resurrection "F" not a single thing, it is another example of fans building self-expectations and making shit up in their heads when nothing really was there.

Well, Goku actually did say that once you've made the SSjG power your own, the SSj state of that is SSj Blue. So no one is making things up, it's Toriyama that went back on this perfectly serviceable evolution of the Saiyans because he realized he had made them too powerful and it would be hard to write compelling drama with them being so powerful.

That's not what he said. What Goku said: "This is a bit different. It’s tough to explain, but this is a Saiyan who’s a Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God"
Nothing here implies that a Saiyan can't go Yellow SS forms again at all. Otherwise Goku going regular SS in BoG doesn't make sense at all.
