What a terrific episode, and emotion in DB what is this? Old man did good the old man did good. Easily my favourite episode of the ToP, the end where Beerus asks for his name, great touch!

They are still there, looks like Tenshinhan will have some value next week and there is no way they won't give something to Piccolo with the U6 namekians, he has things to do yet.namekiansaiyan wrote:Tien and Piccolo are my 2 favourite characters and they havre been given shit in the first 9 episodes and it probably won't be that much different next episode as it looks like Goku and Vegeta are doing most of the work. It is a disgrace by Toei.precita wrote:Toei must really dislike Tien. Poor showing in the recruitment episodes, and he's barely done anything in this tournament and has remained in the background. And even Roshi is getting so much more to do than him.
Sometimes I honestly forget Tenshinhan is even in this arc.

I don't want Piccolo to just fight the Namekians and want him to fight others. Why does he nit get to fight anyone while Goku, Vegeta, 17, 18 do. This is the same for Tien and Frieza.Basako wrote:They are still there, looks like Tenshinhan will have some value next week and there is no way they won't give something to Piccolo with the U6 namekians, he has things to do yet.namekiansaiyan wrote:Tien and Piccolo are my 2 favourite characters and they havre been given shit in the first 9 episodes and it probably won't be that much different next episode as it looks like Goku and Vegeta are doing most of the work. I just think Piccolo, Tien and Frieza have a long way to go.

Yeah, I agree. They could have had something by now, regardless of what they are getting later.namekiansaiyan wrote:I don't want Piccolo to just fight the Namekians and want him to fight others. I'm not. 17 getting as much screen time as he's gotten pretty much shows that he'll go before Piccolo. I also don't see 18 lasting longer.namekiansaiyan wrote:Many of you putting 17 and 18 as more important then Piccolo is just ridiculous
Last four fighters will be Goku, Gohan, Piccolo and Frieza. Vegeta will beat Cabba before rushing to Jiren and loses.
I think you're setting yourself for disappointment if you think Vegeta will be the first to go among those 5. Gohan and Piccolo will most likely be out before Vegeta and Freeza. I'm not sure if Vegeta will outlast Freeza cause they just brought him back and I'd assume they'd want to use him as much as possible but it wouldn't surprise me either.
He will. they're not going to save him till the end just to take him out after 2 fights (unless they're big fights that take multiple episodes each).namekiansaiyan wrote:I don't want Piccolo to just fight the Namekians and want him to fight others.

Re: Super Episode 105 (27 August 2017)
Roshi's PL is no longer 139 in the first place. People still assuming it is after all this time is the most baffling thing. Hell, this episode he even stated outright that he has realized that he still has room to grow. Oh, and his Kamehameha defeating Ganos had nothing to do with experience or tricks, it was a pure show of force, plain and simple.Nickolaidas wrote:This. THIS. THIS!!! A THOUSAND TIMES THIS!mAcChaos wrote: You have to let go of comparing power levels like DBZ. Super is basically its own separate thing. It's never going to be the same.
It is obvious that Super's writers don't want to follow PLs to the letter. Roshi is weaker compared to the main cast but has many tricks and experience. So everytime Roshi fights on Super you immediately think that it's going to be a 'brains vs brawn' match, not a 'PL:137 vs PL:10 trillion'. It just doesn't work that way anymore.
The sooner folks accept this, the more enjoyable Super will become to them.

Re: Super Episode 105 (27 August 2017)
This episode was way better than it had any damn right to be. They handled Roshi's character so well in this episode that it kinda took me by surprise how much I enjoyed the episode and was invested into what was going on. They managed to incorporate everything that made Roshi such a revered and renowned fighter, justifying his place on the team, and threw in some wonderful nostalgic elements of his teachings to Goku and Krillin when they were his students as children that seamlessly fit into the perspective of the narrative with how he was fighting Ganos.
But what I really loved the most is how Roshi was respected in-universe. When he seemed to collapse and die, Krillin was in tears and was going to rush back to the arena to help him, even when that wasn't allowed to. And Goku became incredibly distressed, turned SSJB to instantly break free from Maji Kayo and rushed over to revive him and then helped him back onto his feet. The whole sequence was just beautiful and wonderfully played into Roshi previous monologue of what he taught Goku and Krillin under his tutelage. The cherry, or cherry's, on the top was that even Beerus wanted to know his name and while everyone from Universe 7 was concerned was thrilled that Roshi wasn't dead, Roshi reminds Goku that the battle isn’t over yet, even when Goku has to help him back on his feet. That was damn cool. I also got big chuckle from when Roshi was revived by Goku he asked where all the cute angels have gone.
This is the best they've written Roshi since the 22nd WMAT.
This was a magnificent episode. The best episode of the tournament so far and one of Super's finest entries.

Why can't we get this Goku more often ? It was such a great scene seeing him trying to revive him and showing how much he cared for him once he woke up. Goku went from one of the worst characters in the tournament to one of the best and hopefully it stays that way.Lord Beerus wrote:Goku became incredibly distressed, turned SSJB to instantly break free from Maji Kayo and rushed over to revive him and then helped him back onto his feet.

If we assume Universe 6 ,7 and 11 are the last 3 and Vegeta fights Cabba while Piccolo and Gohan fight the Namekians I feel Vegeta will win his fight quickly and try to face Jiren as that would be in character. There are 2 Namekians so they should take longer.sintzu wrote:I'm not. 17 getting as much screen time as he's gotten pretty much shows that he'll go before Piccolo. All Roshi did in that arc was use spectacularly fail in using the Mafuba to seal King Piccolo and then die. It wasn't exactly his finest hour.HeroR wrote:Why do everyone forget the King Piccolo Saga?Lord Beerus wrote:This episode was way better than it had any damn right to be. I haven't had any major issues with Goku in this arc. He's pacing himself with regards to how much strength and only breaks out the Godly forms as a last resort. And even then, he only uses them for 10-15 seconds in each occasion. He could use SSJ and/or SSJ2 more often though.sintzu wrote:Why can't we get this Goku more often ? He was the one who led the Dragon Team to find all the Dragon Balls to used against King Piccolo. When that failed, he willingly sacrificed his life, including knowing Tien out who wanting to fight. He even gives Tien a speech about why it was important that he lived. He was also the only character at that point to scare King Piccolo shitless and had him panting on the ground for several minutes. Yes he failed, but he gave an epic speech before dying, basically telling Piccolo to live in fear since he will be defeated one day.Lord Beerus wrote:All Roshi did in that arc was use spectacularly fail in using the Mafuba to seal King Piccolo and then die. I say wait for it, Gohan won't be flattened by rocks so easily.. Neither will piccolo since he is with Gohan..
Can't say anything about tien though..

They are flattened by rocks. I am just annoyed that it going to almost certainly going to Goku and Vegeta doing the battling when while the rest do nothing. I don't understand why Piccolo and Gohan would need their help and the fights need to be shared around.Ki Breaker wrote:It looked like roshi is gonna end up dead after taking out cawai from the nep and see how that turned out..namekiansaiyan wrote:Yes I am becuase it looks like Goku and Vegeta are going to dominate with miminal help from Tien while Piccolo and Gohan are just going to be flattend by rocks.PsionicWarrior wrote:

If Gohan and Piccolo do not fight Universe 3 then they won't have a fight until the big players come in to play since there will be no lower tier left as Tien will probably finish of Universe 4 with Goku, Vegeta, 17 and 18 facing Universe 2. Also whete is Frieza.

Re: Super Episode 105 (27 August 2017)
All of Roshi's contributions in the plot led to nothing. He really didn't contribute any of positive nature for the main cast in-universe to the plot in the King Piccolo arc other than scare King Piccolo for a very brief period with the vague threat that someone will beat him. I mean, that speech itself to King Piccolo was fine but it didn't really lead to anything substantial as King Piccolo still went unchallenged and practically ruled the world for a very short time.HeroR wrote:He was the one who led the Dragon Team to find all the Dragon Balls to used against King Piccolo. Well we can only speculate, my guess is Tien will still have his moment (most likely will help with a kikoho although he already did that) but I doubt he's popular enough to get himself a full episode like Roshi.namekiansaiyan wrote:Yes I am becuase it looks like Goku and Vegeta are going to dominate with miminal help from Tien while Piccolo and Gohan are just going to be flattend by rocks.

If it's Toriyama's outline for Tien to eliminate a few people and be awesome while doing it like Roshi was, then that is what will happen.PsionicWarrior wrote:Well we can only speculate, my guess is Tien will still have his moment (most likely will help with a kikoho although he already did that) but I doubt he's popular enough to get himself a full episode like Roshi.namekiansaiyan wrote:Yes I am becuase it looks like Goku and Vegeta are going to dominate with miminal help from Tien while Piccolo and Gohan are just going to be flattend by rocks.
