It can if Zeno allows it, just have Zeno look at the big ball in the void and he'll start flippin and shout "woohoo make it bigger" rules are jack infront of a child.Baggie_Saiyan wrote: Would that really work, though? I know he's a God but wouldn't it still be treated like 1 person giving normal energy? Also Beerus can't help against the rules so Goku would have to involuntarily take it from him.

spirit bomb can hurt anyone. i mean it worked on a block King Kai threw lol
Zamasu is the best DB villain besides Freeza (and this is only the case because the current Super arc elevated Freeza to be that good).

But if Jiren is pure of heart he can bounce it back just fine, spirit bomb takes it's sweet ass time to go towards the target as well, why won't Jiren simply knock it away or better yet move out of the way..

Even in tha manga Vegeta is always behind. Goku figures out the stamina problem first, then masters Blue and learns Hakai when Vegeta figures that out, and now that Vegeta has mastered Blue Goku is getting a whole new form.Jigurashi wrote: No, it really isn't. Vegeta has been "freakishly behind" Goku since around episode 30 when he and Goku trained for the U6 tournament since that's when Goku acquired SSBKK. That was over 70 episodes ago. Goku staying far above Vegeta isn't farfetched in the slightest. Vegeta likely will catch up, but it isn't going to surprise me one bit if the gap ends up quite large like it is right now.

Well you know, as Escanor always says "That ball will throw me out? who decided that? you can knock me out? who decided that? the only one that gets to decide that, is me" basically an arrogant mf. That or he thinks it wont faze him anyways so he just lets it hit him.Ki Breaker wrote:But if Jiren is pure of heart he can bounce it back just fine, spirit bomb takes it's sweet ass time to go towards the target as well, why won't Jiren simply knock it away or better yet move out of the way..

Mmmmmmisalright. Personally I like Blue Velvet a bit more.
If nothing else, GT had good themes. Also, I remember them being a little more dynamic/animated than what we've seen so far with Super.
The beat of the new song is more stimulating, it would be a shame if all they used were still images.

Interesting. Banpresto opted for the daylight aura-less SSGSS colour for their SSGSS Goku:

GT's themes were amazing. They give me a strange nostalgic vibe, even though the show itself doesn't make me nostalgic.Michsi wrote:Noah wrote:Sorry, but I think nothing compares to Hitorijanaí, the best ending song this franchise ever had.Dbzfan94 wrote:I liked the first ending, but imho nothing compares to the ending to OG Dragon Ball.

Well that's alright from Jiren's side, but Goku is using that on what grounds? Is he simply counting on Jiren being an arrogant mofo?SansrivaaL wrote:Well you know, as Escanor always says "That ball will throw me out? who decided that? you can knock me out? who decided that? the only one that gets to decide that, is me" basically an arrogant mf. As his last resort probably, better than doing nothing I say, just like Namek arc, he doesnt exactly have another technique that can beat him if he was able to take on his KKx20.Ki Breaker wrote: Well that's alright from Jiren's side, but Goku is using that on what grounds? Better count on Jiren standing there taking an attack he can easily deflect which takes ages to charge just to finish kid buu level opponents and fast enough for Roshi to dodge than doing nothing at all..

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It took longer to charge for Buu because Earthlings weren't helping. Even then, I doubt that was much, it felt like a lot in the anime but the same can be said for Namek's 5 minutes, Vegeta's 1 minute against Kid Buu and the recent ToP.Ki Breaker wrote:Well, that makes sense..SansrivaaL wrote:As his last resort probably, better than doing nothing I say, just like Namek arc, he doesnt exactly have another technique that can beat him if he was able to take on his KKx20.Ki Breaker wrote: Well that's alright from Jiren's side, but Goku is using that on what grounds? Right? I don't think I've watched 10% of the show, yet I also get that nostalgic vibe from the themes. I think they were banking on that feeling of nostalgia, what with all those callbacks to the pre Z era. Or maybe it's the sepia-like tone of the images. Well, whatever it was, it worked.
The new ending is exactly one month from now, right? Though just two episodes away.

At least the earthlings helped him at the end, from where is he even going to get enough energy to defeat Jiren in a world of void....emperior wrote:It took longer to charge for Buu because Earthlings weren't helping. It's Genki dama, every guy can only give a certain amount no matter how strong they are, and they are left too tired to do anything if more is taken from them..
Even if he takes all the energy in that arena somehow, that's nearly not enough to beat kid buu.. much less Jiren..

Maybe Goku will be able to get energy from all the planets of U7. When he got the energy from Namek the Genkidama was quite big.Ki Breaker wrote:At least the earthlings helped him at the end, from where is he even going to get enough energy to defeat Jiren in a world of void....emperior wrote:It took longer to charge for Buu because Earthlings weren't helping. A possible scenario occurred to me, every intellignet planet besides earth seems to know about berrus, if they manage to have berrus to ask them for energy every planet will give all the energy asap..emperior wrote:Maybe Goku will be able to get energy from all the planets of U7. A real universal spirit bomb could be created..
But Goku has a new form, so it probably dosen't work..

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
That'd be a nice way to handle it. I suspect something of a similar vein to your guess is how he'll get this new form. Goku will be at his lowest point in every way possible in this tournament when he receives this new form.BlueBasilisk wrote:The Spirit Bomb had a lot of knockback when it was used on Vegeta, Frieza and Buu. That might be Goku's gambit: use the force of the attack to shove Jiren right out of the ring.fadeddreams5 wrote:Fair enough. It'd still be strange seeing Goku use it on a good guy though.
When it fails, I'd really like for Goku to finally be hit by the full weight of the situation. His family, friends and universe are on the line thanks to situation he instigated and he's faced with a foe who can survive the best Goku can throw at him. That would be a perfect trigger for his transformation and quite honestly I'd love to see Jiren crush that weird flippant attitude Goku has had in this arc.

Spirit bombs can be deflected one of two ways:Nero<>Akira wrote:spirit bomb can hurt anyone. i mean it worked on a block King Kai threw lol
1) pure of heart ala Gohan
2) strong enough like Buu
Either way this seems like a really bad idea to specifically use this technique on Jiren considering the time it takes, not sure where he would readily draw the energy at this point plus it may not even be able to damage his target at all anyway...
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Exactly. Not sure why I am hearing it can work on everyone...which it can't. If pure of heart it can be easily pushed back, if not then it can be pushed back merely if you're strong enough. Can't really say though if Jiren is pure of heart, but merely just a good guy. A good guy does not mean pure hearted. Bulma is a good girl, but she doesn't have a pure heart as we saw with Kintoun. He is pure of wood that's for sureTheMikado wrote:Spirit bombs can be deflected one of two ways:Nero<>Akira wrote:spirit bomb can hurt anyone. i mean it worked on a block King Kai threw lol
