Why? What does this fight bring to the table aside from the fact that it would be Namekian vs. Namekian?
There's a thousand and one things that a namekian vs. namekian battle could bring, not least of all a new form of power Piccolo might aim to reach later. It could be an inversion of U7 saiyans bringing ssj form to U6. It's a stretch but, hey, it could happen. All it needs is the writers being more daring and creative. I mean, we have the the whole Goku /Kale and Vegeta/Cabba comparisons, what's to say Piccolo won't get someone like that as well.
The most unpleasant direction this could go, is Piccolo fusing with one of them.

Saonel is Piccolo so they have to meet. It makes 100% sense for the Namekians from Universe 6 to have something that Universe 7 don't just like the Saiyans. Toriyama was apart of Dragon Ball Online which introduced Red Eyed form so why not use it.
Piccolo fusing with them makes no sense at all and most importantly fans will hate it.

Not a fan of that either..
The best outcome is him fusing with both of them
Piccolo becomes a one man assemblage, he starts having identity crises.
His multi-form should be him splitting into everyone he has fused with.

Pretty sure he already does.
Why power levels are important?
Spoiler:
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
Do anyone is thinking Freeza might have something up his sleeves? I mean that's the only reason I can figure why he's busting his chance of getting wish by clearlying betraying Universe 7
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

I think him teaming up with Frost is a ruse. I have no idea what he'd hope to accomplish with this, though.

I think that too and the NEP seems to imply that as well. They're trying to play each other, but I'm fairly certain Freeza is going to be the one that has the last laugh.
Freeza might be wary of Frost because he more or less sees himself in there and he also knows he can't be trusted..
It's best to shake hands with yourself here, especially when you are a lunatic, for all Freeza knows Frost might have golden too..
If that's how it's happening, I see frost and Freeza simultaneously backstabbing each other to take down the one opponent they aren't overconfident about..
Still, Freeza dosen't strike me as the guy who plans such intricacies though, he is the type to straight up go and murder who he dosen't like..

Why is that? It's an infinitely better option than Vegeta of all people going out, if that's who you've been refering to.
It would be very predictable. I would much rather prefer someone like Gohan or Goku going out, but this is just my opinion.
If Toriyama was to go the standard boring way. It would go 18, 17, Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta, Goku with Frieza going out at some random point or cpntinues to betray.
Will Goku actually still be in once his fight with Jiren is over though?
Who knows? We don't even know how long that fight will last either, or if the tournament will be stopped or interrupted for some reason before it can finish, or if Goku gets taken out by Jiren or immediately after his fight. We're in the dark right now.

Namekian lore which could give Piccolo a power boost in the future or just have a rivalry between them if the Saiyans can have it why not Namekians.

What does them being 'hidden' have to do with Piccolo having a certainty of facing them?
It doesn't mean he is facing them but do you actually think Piccolo is not going to interact with them especially as one looks exactly like he does.
Only Saiyans that had a rivalry were Goku and Vegeta. Sure a Namekian-Namekian rivalry could be cool, but that all depends on if they care to do that (and I personally don't think they do). Nobody but Goku in this series seems to get rivals.
Also, at the moment it's really just speculation (not unfounded mind you as Piccolo interacting with the Namekians makes sense), but nothing says he has to interact with the Namekians and that he, Saonel and Pilina are being saved for each other. Piccolo or the other Namekians very well could be eliminated by someone else without even meeting one another. Would that be ideal? Personally no, but that possibility exists.

Indeed. Discussion of specific episodes are supposed to be contained within the respective episode threads, but only after the subtitled versions are released via Crunchyroll, Daisuki, etc.

If Piccolo does not interact with the Namekians then I think Toriyama might need to have his head examined.

Would I be saying two far more significant characters meet U6 versions of their race? U6 Saiyans who at the moment seem to be more important the U6 Namekians who haven't appeared yet. Them not appearing yet itself could mean a few things: They'll have some role later on in the ToP, they'll end up being insignificant all the same, they'll have major importance down the road, etc...
I'm not saying to curb your expectations or anything of the sort. But it's a fact that there's nothing concrete telling us that Piccolo and the U6 Namekians are being saved for one another, and at the moment nothing says they have to be for Piccolo.

I'm still wondering when the manga thread will get locked due to the same out of context knee-jerking from leaks that go the episode discussion threads locked. It hasn't been that bad the last two months but it got pretty ugly during the Future Trunks arc.
So, does anyone else think that maybe the reason there are two Namekians is so they'll do a tag team against either Androids 17 and 18 or even the two hidden bugs of U4? Or possibly even both?
Think about it, I'd rather have Piccolo face them, but it would be a more surprising fight to have 17 and 18 struggling against the two bugs only for the new Namekians to come in, use their hearing and eliminate the bugs before fighting the Androids.

I imagine people making separate threads to voice their initial thoughts if that were to happen. Someone will find another thread.
