Nope. Bluefin rep told me that is no a re-release. They just wanted to show off all of the line that they could.Bardo117 wrote:Bryesque wrote:Gotcha. Krillin didn't look any different to me than the old version (not much to improve on anyway, IMO). Not holding my breath for a re-release, but taking the white out of his eyes for a more anime screen-accurate look could justify a "premium colour" variant? (Unsure if they're able to re-release that one anyway.)ShadowDude112 wrote:So, I was at NYCC. I talked to a Bluefin rep. He told me the Kuririn was the old one. But Freeza was a new mold. So, hopefully that gets released, since I do not have a regular Final Form Freeza.
Either way, I'd snap up both of these in a heartbeat.
If you notice, all the other figures either state the price, state that they're out of print, or state that the figure is only for display only. Krillin has a price on him, indicating that it will probably be released.

Double post, but it looks like Bandai possibly slimmed down SSG Goku. Someone reviewed it, and from this pic, it looks slimmer than the SSJ3 mold.

Interesting torso mold in that I can't unsee that bra.
I wish the photo hadn't cut off that top face option; I'm curious what it looks like.

It's a smile. That's his extra face.Chuquita wrote:Interesting torso mold in that I can't unsee that bra.

EDIT: Found a pic, but the reviewer is really shitty and his lighting sucks.

Okay, but apparently, whoever painted this thought it would be a good idea for this to be Super Shitstain God. Not my pic, btw.

That is a MUST have. Along with SSJ3 Goku.
Still trying to figure out why there's a Dragon Ball Z Label on it and not a Super Label....

Oh what an idiot lol I totally forgot about that.
I am planning on buying both and switching the bodies. Better shading on the SSJG than on the SSJ3.

Have the Tenshihan/Chiatzu and Yamcha/Saibamen sets been released as of now?

Makes sense... but weirdly, Beerus and Whis' figures have a Super logo on their packaging.Metalwario64 wrote:Maybe because Super Saiyan God debuted in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.Bardo117 wrote:That is a MUST have. Along with SSJ3 Goku.

Just inconsistent, I guess?

You can't do that. The SSJ3 hair is connected to something else and it's not a part of the head. Unless you take some of the neck off too to swap them as a whole.Bardo117 wrote:Metalwario64 wrote:Maybe because Super Saiyan God debuted in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.Bardo117 wrote:That is a MUST have. You mean that the head is supported by some sort stronger peg? Guess the alternative is to take the figure apart and switch the entire neck area like you said. Not too sure how it'll look with the slimmer body but I'm sure it won't look that bad.
Does anybody else hate the new leg design for the line? It's way too similar to the Figure-Rise line....

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
They're not really at all like the Figure-rise leg designs. Those are pretty much improved versions of the old Goku mold style of leg articulation (single jointed knee, but with a better knee bend, better ankles), but these have these extra hip pieces to better hide the articulation, and they have double jointed knees (I would prefer the better looking single knees of the Figure-rise designs, but from what I hear those two divisions of Bandai/Tamashii Nations or whoever have no connection with each other).Bardo117 wrote:Does anybody else hate the new leg design for the line? The thing that IS similar to the Figure-rise line is that the latest figures have had a far fewer paint apps compared to the old figures, which is ridiculous considering that figures that were once $30-$40 are now in the $60-$70 range.

I do think they look a bit too chunky, at least for the baggy pants characters. Vegeta and Trunks legs looked great.

Re: Mike's Upcoming JPNS Toy Releases Thread
Any word on a new release of SHODO? The last wave was disappointing and there are so many key characters that haven't been made.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!
