That wasn't my point. You wrote your sentence in a way that suggested that the back tingle was the way to become a Super Saiyan like the S-Cells and the S-Cells explanation was cooler. Which wasn't what was said about the back tingle. The back tingle was specifically talking about the process after one achieved Super Saiyan the first time and how it feels, while S-Cell influence the actual transformation and not a feeling, so they're not the same thing.

I don't care if you hate or loved the 'back tingle' or whatever. I was simply correcting that back tingle and S-Cells were the same thing. If that wasn't what you meant, then I do apologized for that.

As him turning out to be the original SSG as well doesn't really fit with other information provided, I would have to assume, the ritual works because his spirit still exists, SSG with god ki is possible because of his presence during the ritual..
In a sense, the unnamed guy who went SSG after the ritual was him, because during the ritual, the essence of his spirit takes over the guy the ritual is performed on, granting god ki..
This makes him the original SSG in a sense.. and that could be why the form through ritual has a time limit, the spirit's essence can only stay in another body for so long..

My theory will be Goku could make the power his own because he is the reincarnation, even if the sprit is long gone, it's effects remain, Goku could thus tame the power easily and transform back into SSG for a short burst, even after time ran out..
This will be in line with him acquiring the power permanently just by feeling, because it already was his to begin with and berrus confirming this is the SSG he saw in dreams when it's stated explicitly he saw the original SSG spirit..

Let's be honest, this sh*t is worst than Midi-chlorians. Well, equally bad, but I don't care nearly as much about SW.
I guess many people will be happy to have an explanation, even if is cringeworthy. I personally don't take those things into account until they are stated in the series, so no kais born from fruits, no to 16 created in the image of Gero's son, no Lapis & Lazuli, and definitely no S-Cells. I may like some of those ideas, but AT should't feel tied to the stuff he makes up in interviews, amd may change it if it suits the story.

The thing is, Toriyama rarely explained things back in the original. Thats why we have so many theories in the fandom. Thats the main reason why he can get away with this and why we accept it. If we don't, what do we got? Vague lore.


This is why You don't take dragon ball seriously. Its dumb fun. Toriyama has stated that many times before, I mean they are named after FOOD!!!!
