I really hope the bugs do manage to knock someone out. Having everyone outside of Jiren being complete fodder in the tournament would be very disappointing, especially given that the bugs have already been built up as something that’ll be problematic down the line.namekiansaiyan wrote:Does anyone think we might not lose anyone in episode 119 as the title changed and the earlier one might be a mistake. I would rather have them all survive until the Pride Troopers fight again so Jiren can just start knocking everyone out.

I wonder... Universe 7 is on track to eliminate 6 of the 7 'enemy' Universes. 4 is taking thier shot now. 3 has taken shots before and Katopesla is tangling with Vegeta. If they lose the final confrontation with Universe 11, Jiren could win the whole tournament with the least amount of blood on his hands, especially with 7 being so small and barren. Possibly even less if say Toppo somehow got the final elimination. Could Jiren be the stealth hero of the arc? He would be taking down the Universe who had wiped out everyone else. Heck, he'd even be filling Goku's old role of 'spends most of the arc sidelined then shows up at the end to beat the bad guy.'

The only problem so far the Bugs provide is that that no one can see them. Once someone can track where they are they will probably be finished easily.WittyUsername wrote:I really hope the bugs do manage to knock someone out. If the March deadline for TOP arc is kept, as speculated, then on what can we expect the remaining Episodes to be focused on ?
My personal guess would be ( No particular order ) :
2-3 Episodes on U4 ( I'd be disappointing if only one episode is wasted on the Cicada Warriors )
1-2 Episodes on U3;
2 Episodes on Dyspo and Toppo;
2 Episodes on Jiren vs Goku Rematch (/ Vegeta);
2 Episodes as the Ending of TOP ( Super Dragon Balls wish and rest.. ).

They never said March is when the ToP ends, March is when the arc ends. At the current pacing the ToP is probably going to end either at the very end of January or in February, then we'll probably get some other episodes following that that wrap up the arc, maybe some sort of conflict or stuff covering the aftermath of the ToP.Liquir wrote:If the March deadline for TOP arc is kept, as speculated, then on what can we expect the remaining Episodes to be focused on ?

I only calculated February so it doesn't change in a great factor. It be still 7-8 Episodes for the TOP till beginning of February, so it still lines up, unless there are greater number of weeks off.ArchedThunder wrote:They never said March is when the ToP ends, March is when the arc ends. The first half of the tournament was 15 episodes and ended in episode 111 so if the second half is also 15 episodes then the tournament will end in episode 126 which will be 4th February.Liquir wrote:I only calculated February so it doesn't change in a great factor. That matches my previous statement. 8 Episodes would be left for the TOP. Someone stated tho that there is going to be at least one week off, but there is also a possibility for a 1 Hour Special so it would line up with Your Date Prediction.namekiansaiyan wrote:The first half of the tournament was 15 episodes and ended in episode 111 so if the second half is also 15 episodes then the tournament will end in episode 126 which will be 4th February.

Dec 10, Episode 119- Piccolo is taken out, U4 deleted and 11 minutes remain at the end of the episode
Dec 17, Episode 120- By episode's end the only U3 fighters left are the 3 robots that appear to be made to be able to merge, said robots fuse at the end and 9 minutes remain
Dec 24, Episode 121- Episode focuses on fighting the merged robot, Android 18 is taken out and U3 is deleted, 7 minutes remain
BREAK
Jan 7, Episode 122- Start of U7 vs U11 showdown, 5 minutes remain
Jan 14, Episode 123- 3 minutes remain
Jan 21, Episode 124- 2 Minutes remain
Jan 28, Episode 125- 1 minute remains
Feb 4, Episode 126- Final minute, end of ToP
I don't want to predict any of the actual fights for the U7 vs U11 showdown because I think it will really just be an all out battle between all of them.
Then after 126 the arc has to go to at least 130 (The first episode of March) and has to to end by 133. I don't really want to make any real prediction for what the rest of the arc is after the ToP, maybe a conflict, maybe even involving Freeza, who knows. Either way I think the arc ends with the people of the other Universes being brought back and relocated to U7.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
With the way the manga presented Jiren I 100% believe that Jiren is the actual “Superman” hero of the arc and will ultimately win the whole thing and get the DB wish. It’s in this context that the playing of Goku as a villain makes more sense and to be honest I’m not entirely sure it still isn’t going to go that way in the manga. I think the manga approach is that Jiren will see Goku as the villain, hence his constant stare downs and fixation on Goku and only really willing to fight Goku. It makes more sense if he is reluctant to fight the other universes because he sees them as fighting for their survival where as he personally sees him as evil. It would also make more sense in the context of Toppo stating there’s no justice only survival because he wasn’t big into it like Jiren in the first place and doesn’t see Goku as the “villain”.BlueBasilisk wrote:I wonder... Remember Jiren in the manga doesn’t even want to fight for his own survival if it means the others must be destroyed due to his actions.

The same was said for Zarbuto, Ranbara and Zaloin and they survived 2 episodes.namekiansaiyan wrote:

I am just going to watch the episode and avoid spoilers as at this late stage I would rather not know.
If Shantsa ability is like Raichi, then the moment he summons the rest of U6 besides Botamo then Piccolo is doomed. He and Gohan woldnt do anything to Caulifla, Kale, let alone Hit.

If each episode continues to be 2 mins long then IMO the tourney ends at around episode 129, then after that we might get the Poacher filler with Goten, Trunks and Maron, as part of this ArcArchedThunder wrote: They never said March is when the ToP ends, March is when the arc ends. Oh right, its 13 mins left.
I could see the fights vs U4 and later U3 to be 1 min long, 9 mins remaining before the final clash vs U11, that would leave us 1 episode with 2 mins and the rest 1 min per episode

I doubt the illusions are going to be like the real characters. They will probably be limited to what powers Shantsa has. Piccolo and Gohan eill probably have to detect Shantsa or someone not affected by the illusions.
It would be so dissapointing if Piccolo loses to Shantsa after what happened last episode.

Piccolo can take caulifla if he plays his cards rightperucho1990 wrote:The same was said for Zarbuto, Ranbara and Zaloin and they survived 2 episodes.namekiansaiyan wrote:

Gohan would stomp caulifla and kale
Hit is the bigger threat assuming shansta brings him

Well again if Shantsa ability is like Raichi, then you might have to beat the illusions/ghost like the way they got defeated(thats what happened in the Raichi OVA iirc).

Toshio said Piccolo is weaker than Frost, who is weaker than the U6 Saiyans. If Piccolo/Gohan are smart, they shouldnt let Shantsa summon Kefla or that would be instant game over.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Given that the shadowy figures disintegrate with one punch, I think it's safe to assume they won't be facing actual fighters. Shantsa is probably messing with their minds or something like that. Might be that this is a three person combo? Shantsa traps them in an illusion and the bugs then shoot them out of the ring.
