Either Beerus or Grand Priest. Those are the only two that are always hyped by the fandom. At this point it'd be very weird for Beerus to be the antagonist though.

For the life of me I thought the next movie was going to be about Yamoshi but it seems like it won't. Granted he could still show up in a flashback, definitely more interested in the movie now knowing that it takes place after the TOP. Hopefully the formidable opponent isn't Freeza if he somehow gets his wish, because as much as I like him having him be the main villain for a third time would be lame.

Yeah that would be wierd althought tori did mention they would touch on "previously unexplored topics regarding freeza and the saiyans". Maybe goku or vegeta finally discover beerus ordered planet vegetas destruction? Idk but that'd be my guess.

Call me evil, but I think that would be hilarious. Just watching the astronomical levels of rage from fans that would surface as a result of U7 losing, Goten evaporating, Beerus crying while Whis flips him off, GT theme song playing as it all happens, etc. That would make my year.

I wouldn’t like seeing Goten being erased but otherwise I totally agree. It would be absolutely hilarious.

So people now more care about "hahaha triggered hilarious" then actual good satisfying endings/good writing? That makes me sad.

First of all, if that ending happened, how do you even know it would trigger people? Why do you think they would be triggered over that ending?

Personally, I think it would be just as hilarious if this didn't happen, and that in turn "triggered" those people lol. How about that: )

It was all planned. They reveal misleading spoilers. Every one is up in arms and complaining....while Toriyama/Toei are just sitting there...."oh you think Goku is going to lose now...how cute...just sit back and wait for what we have in store for you...Goku's victory will now come as even more as a surprise"

So I saw the English translation and it says “a mighty foe saved for the occasion”. So maybe the foe isn’t the most important thing in the story, if it’s just for the occasion. Or maybe it’s beerus.

The tweet says that the movie's story follow the events after the Dragon Ball Super anime.

Edit: Toyotaro says "the manga will continue through the manga" so I take this to mean that the manga will also tell a story of the events following the conclusion of the ToP.

This sprinkle of new information about the movie is awesome and makes me so happy

This honestly gets me excited to watch episode 131. Definently will end on some kind of cliff hanger or at least a teaser to the new movie/to when Super returns
