DB has shown that the new generation often has more potential than the past one: Gohan was several times times stronger than Goku having 12 years old, Goten and Trunks were several times stronger than Gohan having 8 years old.
Power levels are not just big numbers:
Spoiler:
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
I don't know, I'm more annoyed that Bra took Nappa out with a fluke, instead of Vegeta forcing self defense training. I don't care if she has a pl of 100 or a pl of 10000

Vegeta wouldn't get rough with Bra. Bra is a daddy's girl.

In short; Vegeta's power level is Bra's. Because, someone lays a hand on her, he'll "send them to the next dimension!"

If she wasn't capable of harnessing power stronger than a nuclear bomb, I would think that's okay. But I can see Daddy's Girl accidentally killing some people because some asshole got grabby and she slapped him through a skyscraper.

Meh. It would be a scene for laughs, where handsy idiot would be fine, knocked out at worse.
Stronger fighters have been beaten by weaker ones when taken off-guard all the time.
SSJG Goku vs Frieza, ended with a unexpected cheap laser shot.
SS2 Goku vs Majin Vegeta, knocked out with a blow to the back of the head.
Vegeta vs Yajirobe, (temporarily) knocked out with a slash to the back.
Piccolo vs Gero, Piccolo almost drained to death when Gero grabbed him from behind.
Kid Goku vs Yamcha, Goku knocked out from being distracted from hunger.

Goku never fought Freeza as a Super Saiyan God.

I wonder what the author means my "true face" I mean the characters know they are the enemies, there's no other truth.
