Amazing how they can play it many times, but we still can't have the true instrumental only version of the song released .
FFS. Another good "unreleased DB Song" to make the list.

It felt a lot more than 7 seven times. Near the end it felt like they used it every episode.

Maybe they'll use it on the upcoming movie and so it'll be released on CD in this form.RichardKing2 wrote:Amazing how they can play it many times, but we still can't have the true instrumental only version of the song released .

It was actually 8 times, thanks to Freeza9000 for pointing it out.Dbzfan94 wrote:It felt a lot more than 7 seven times. Near the end it felt like they used it every episode.
It was used in #129, #130 and #131 so that's probably why you got the impression.

This and Beam struggle are really over used to the point every scene with it become less special.

110, 116, and 131 were the best usage of it. They shoulda just used the instrumental for the other ones.

So is it still considered an Insert, or does this mean it's just a regular song from the score? I don't think even Kill la Kill used Before my body is dry as much as DBS used Ultimate Battle.

And? It's a fucking awesome song that is used in great episodes in the arc.

Yeah I don't get the point of this thread. OP is just merely stating a fact and that is it...Lord Beerus wrote:And? It's a fucking awesome song that as used in great episodes in the arc.
Re: Ultimate Battle was used 8 times since its debut
It should've only been used for 110, 116, & 131. The instrumentals shouldn't have been played at all.
Why I use "Geran" instead of "Jiren"

Pocket Monster: XY & Z used its Opening song as an insert song for nearly every appearance of Satoshi-Gekkouga. It's also common for Super Sentai to use their songs multiple times. I do wish it wasn't the only insert song used, though.
Interestingly enough, Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden never used insert songs but Boruto has one.

I mean, it kinda loses all impact when you use the same insert song for every "epic, dude" moment you have. Can anyone really defend its usage in 115, 121, 123 and 129 for instance? Was it really necessary? Imagine Battle Point Unlimited played every time Trunks did something.Lord Beerus wrote:And? It's a fucking awesome song that is used in great episodes in the arc.
Ultimate Battle had lost all impact it had by the time 131 rolled around. If it were only used in 110, 116 and 131? Then that would be fine.

Ultimate Battle is a song used to heighten the excitement of battle that already has something unique to express. All the episodes the songs it featured in had either an exciting moment happening or it was about to happen.Dbzfan94 wrote:What Doctor said. I know what it is, thank you very much. Re: Ultimate Battle was used 8 times since its debut
I see the usage of the insert song like how Gurren Lagann used its insert songs. They just played during huge moments.
Though I will admit there were times where Ultimate Battle shouldn't have been used, like 115, 121, 123 and 130. I wish they used Dream Tag Match more.

Re: Ultimate Battle was used 8 times since its debut
The big difference between here and Gurren Lagann is that Gurren Lagann spaced its inserts out across the entire series. In DBS, this insert song that's never appeared in any arc prior to the T.O.P. is now littered throughout the last half of this arc. If they wanted Ultimate Battle to be their own Rap is a Man's Soul! or Before my body is dry, they should've treated it like another theme song for the series and used it during big moments in the previous arcs as well, and maybe even remixed it for it's final usage like with Libera Me From Hell. As much as I like Ultimate Battle, it undeniably loses it's impact once you've heard it eight times back-to-back. They could've easily taken two of those opportunities to use Chōzetsu ☆ Dynamic! and Limit Break X Survivor as inserts, but I guess they decided this one song absolutely needs to be played eight freaking times within twenty-one episodes.Super Saiyan Swagger wrote:I see the usage of the insert song like how Gurren Lagann used its insert songs.
