Wow, tought the project was pretty dead. Well i don't think i would gotten into it even if it came to something else than the 360. And there isn't big chance that this hit Europe and America.

That's why we'll have to buy the computer game and either:
A - Learn Korean and play.
B - Learn Japanese and play.
C - Follow Rick by learning Namekian and playing the Namekian version.

Nah, I bet anything it'll get a release here in the US. DBZ is still popular enough, and MMO people will try anything, so it's a win on both fronts.

They couldn't muster up a single new screen shot? How disappointing.:(

And I've said it before, I'll say it again-
This game won't come to America unless the game is incredibly popular over there, becomes well-known and popular here by word-of-mouth, and a large amount of gamers make a demand for the game.
Not a single one of my friends have heard a thing about Dragonball Online despite being avid online gamers, even with the game supposedly having gone into beta testing over the summer. So, the awareness factor is low.

For any that to happen, of course, the game actually has to be good, too.

I've seen a handful of anime-franchise MMOs pop into existence and fizzle out over in the Land of the Rising Sun that I would've liked to try playing.
A bit of friendly advice would be to simply keep your expectations low, and don't get your hopes up.

No anime has the status that Dragon Ball does.

Except maybe One Piece.

..that would be a nice MMO

Hmmmm... One Piece is getting there. It's certainly already matched, if not surpassed, Dragon Ball in terms of it's own quality and epicness. But in terms of world-wide fame and noteriety... not quite yet.

Either way, I think One Piece would make a really good MMO. Probably better than DragonBall, in fact.

I have no links to provide, but there has been many rumors of a Naruto MMO and an FMA one down the line, but no proof has ever been provided, so...nothing more to say really. Oh, and a supposed Trigun one was planned at one point I think, but never got off the ground.

The only other one I've seen actual evidence for other than the DB one is Digimon World Online.

Sure. It ain't very solid info, but it's more solid than other things I've seen. I'll PM the link to you.

Just glad to know I'm not the only Digimon fan in the world of DBZ. :D

Its far from matched, once you've been going strong for 25 years and still as popular as ever, then you can match with dragon ball, and in my opinon, Dragon Ball Online, will be the epitome of all mmos.

Actually, Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star is still quite popular in Japan and depending on the demographic (the Pachinko-players XD) even more popular than Dragon Ball. And yes, there is a Hokuto no Ken MMORPG coming too ^_~

That's what I was saying. One Piece already IS an extremely good series, as good as or better than DragonBall in and of itself. But as it isn't as old and as much of a "classic" yet, thus it doesn't have the same widespread notoriety.

There was actually a .hack MMORPG in Japan, but I don't think it lasted too long.

I don't know much about THAT series, but doesn't it actually center around an MMO? I'm surprised it would die quickly.
