Locking this thread is good and should be continued going forward. There is absolutely nothing productive gained from talking about the leaks. It's literally just noise pollution.

The only issue is that it spills into other threads, spreading the overreactions and derailing other topics. It's not a great solution, but I kind of like a speculation thread that would hopefully contain it.

After the last chapter it doesn't seem feasible to prevent it spilling into other threads

Leaks add literally nothing to the community except out of context nonsense that just leads to tensions flaring. They actively hurt discussion rather than foster it. It's been happening every month for the past 2 years, and it baffles me how the same users fall into this trap every single month. Kanzenshuu is a site that seeks to curtail 2 decades' worth of internet rumors and gossip about the franchise, but leaks that are taken out of context each month are allowed here? That also makes no sense to me...

Now that I've made my views on leaks clear, I'd prefer this thread get locked every month around this time, and that they implement your idea. That would help contain the stupid incoherent leaks, and those who wish to yell about them can remain in that "leak thread".

Mods should also start issuing warnings to anyone who posts about leaks outside of the dedicated leak thread to keep the misinformation from spreading out.

I also like the idea of a catch all leak/speculation thread akin to the Episode Discussion threads we used to have. The leaks show up around the same time every month, so maybe have it open from say the 17th until the 21st? I know the staff would rather they not get talked about at all before the official release but that stuff gets passed around social media, so the people who care will already have their hot takes ready to go. So far it seems like locking this thread just results in the discussion spilling over into the Power Levels and Eliminations threads. Now to be fair the material does relate to the topics of those threads but it becomes a problem when they turn into surrogate discussion threads instead. Same thing happened with the locked episode discussion threads in the later part of the series, but it also took over the Super Announcement and Discussion thread.

Reddit's a different format but the dedicated threads they have over on /r/dbz seem to work well enough.

SUre unless suddenly slow down pace , manga is being consistently on the 5 min per chapter and there is 10 min remaining aprox.

I don't want UI omen to be 100% useless, and he needs at least a full chapter dedicated to just Goku vs Jiren. If he wants to include Goku, Frieza, and 17 vs Jiren, then he'll need another half a chapter. I'd rather have an extra chapter and the conclusion of the ToP be significantly better.

That one was a fake and it was instantly called out as an edit of a chapter 35 panel. Sadly, though, people don't seem to care a whole lot about the part where fake leaks get debunked, so I'm not surprised if you found that edit somewhere else thanks to someone just spreading it with no regard to authenticity.

I was probably just looking forward to leaks, so I didn't judge the obvious fake. I'll be more careful in the future.

Yeap I agree 2 chapters seem to be not enough to cover the remaining part . We will see .
Months ago I was wanting this arc to run fast to get new stuff , but a decent ending is necessary, hard to be at the anime ending level . Converting where we are with the anime ... aprox episode 125?
