I third this. It's all I want to know from this topic. I had heard from a few unlikely to be reliable sources that they legally can't put that music in.. but it makes no sense for that to be true, since the music is always intact if you play the ep in Japanese... so they still have the right to publish it on the DVD in the first place... right?

I believe it's during the scene where Bardock is flying toward Freeza's ship and during his confrontation with the henchmen in space. Also, can we get a possible YouTube upload of the DB movies trailer? If anything, for a good laugh for those of us whom may not get this.

Ah. Sorry. ^_^;

The first instance of it is when Bardock is fighting Freeza's "elites" after they've killed his team, up until Dodoria appears. Second is when Bardock is going nuts and charging through Freeza's troops up in the sky. I think it's just those two times.

Wow, from the screencaps, I can't see a huge difference in image quality, it's slightly blurry, but missing the pastel wash kind of detail loss the season sets are known for.

I won't be picking these up, but it will be interesting to see future "remastered" releases, since from what I can see, FUNi are definitely getting better at this.

If the Season Sets had looked like this from the start, then there would be less of a division between the fans. I hope Season Four looks this good!

Well Chris Beveridge of AnimeOnDVD has stated:

...the English track with the JPN music is there as well as the original English mix. The original is still in stereo while the new one is in 5.1.

so it looks like there is such a track!

Also, does anyone think the widescreen kindof doesn't look so bad with the stillframes seen so far? The shot with Bardock and his group looked good, as we saw more of them.

That is good to hear! I guess FUNimation learned from their Season One music mistakes. Everything after that has been A-OK in terms of music.

The eyecatchers are there. Don't know about the short preview-thing though. Actually I'm not really sure what you're referring to. Do you mean that little "Dragonball Z - Special Feature"-thing at the start? I'd assume that the Bardock-special has it, seeing how the old release did, but I don't know about the Trunks-special though.
