But they're not. They've censored the manga.

Sadly the full colors, while nice are debatable because they are not how they were originally intended. They're kinda like the Mangas kai as far as release goes. Like this Z I got so picky that I sold my VIz manga and I have the Japanese Mooks and singles and I really haven't looked at them since. I can read Japanese, but I do regret selling my digest versions.
Durr, me dumb. I meant Shueisha.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Oh yea! Id suppose so? But there's always something. The Kazennban's were good but they weren't the original Jump sizes and had the new ended. And the Mook were a good reproduction of the original jumps but they too had a weird reworked ending. And the older releases dont have color pages. I just seem there is always something I suppose.KBABZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:24 pmeledoremassis02 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:01 pmEven that's debatable. What's this about them reaching 3015/3000? I'm only seeing 2971 when I check the site. EDIT: Although it does say "/6000" now so...I'm confused.

They censored Bulma smoking! Or Toriyama did, I don't know, he redrew a whole page and it kinda sticks out.

I don't like the idea of Bulma smoking (c'mon, she's smarter than that!!), but I agree that redrawing the page just for that is weird. The Time Traveller wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:31 pmThey censored Bulma smoking! Or Toriyama did, I don't know, he redrew a whole page and it kinda sticks out.

Already talked about this on the last page:
They are showing how many sets are left out of 6000 instead of how many have been ordered. They are saying that there are 2975 sets left available to order.Daimo-Rukiri wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 12:29 pm Good question...
It was at 3015 last time I checked now back to 2975.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
FriezaSoilder beat me too it, but its odd to switch from sets purchased to sets available. Also, I was hoping for a "benchmark" video celebrating the 3000 finish line but I'm beginning to wonder if that response trailer used stuff from that and they're possibly making a new one? Could be there would have none at all, but that seems odd considering no 3000 orders meant this would never be a thing
Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I was just hoping that 46 people cancelled their orders in an hour. I'm not getting my hopes up on a new trailer with better footage...but I'd say we've all done and are continuing to do an admirable job with our messages, tweets, comments, etc. No one can ever say we didn't try.eledoremassis02 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:38 pmFriezaSoilder beat me too it, but its odd to switch from sets purchased to sets available. Exactly, and that's the thing that's important is we didnt just sit here an take it but did something about it (even if it doesn't happen)Forte224 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:43 pmI was just hoping that 46 people cancelled their orders in an hour. Infact we are kinda lucky, cause I'm on the Simpsons thread on bluray.com and people are wondering if Dinsey will even bother remastering the series or just sticking to what is basically the season blurays (but worse) for the Simpsons, and the treat of not getting any more physical releases (but this is all speculation at this point).

I like the idea that the smartest person on Earth is also a giant idiot who smokes, puts herself in dangerous situations and can't stop thinking with her dick.KBABZ wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:35 pmI don't like the idea of Bulma smoking (c'mon, she's smarter than that!!), but I agree that redrawing the page just for that is weird. The Time Traveller wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:31 pmThey censored Bulma smoking! Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Long story short: Nobody knows how to treat old animation properly, they DNR it to hell to make it look vaguely like it's digital, and they don't care about archiving nor are the fans smart enough to demand it.
And also skips school to undress in a pirate cave and stick a giant diamond in her only remaining pocket. The Time Traveller wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:00 pm I like the idea that the smartest person on Earth is also a giant idiot who smokes, puts herself in dangerous situations and can't stop thinking with her dick.
Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Hold on now I'm interested, what's this about Bulma having a dick?
Anyway it's annoying but inevitable that the sets would reach their goal. The strategy hasn't changed though, keep tweeting Funimation, sending those support tickets, etc. Do not let them think we've forgotten about this even after they come out.
Or y'know, hope Toei does their own sets that are somehow magically better.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Toei doing their own sets isn't a solution for me. I want subtitles, and I don't want to rip my Blu-rays to my PC and add subtitles and re-time them from another release (again). Besides, even if Toei does release their own set, the recent movie Blu-rays don't exactly inspire confidence. I really hope FUNimation listens to all of these complaints. I wish we had a better idea of how many have actually sent messages.Shaddy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 2:12 pm Hold on now I'm interested, what's this about Bulma having a dick?

They didn’t censor anything. She wasn’t smoking; that was a candy cigarette. A candy they used to make. You can see kids with those in old sitcoms. It says as much on the box in her pocket.
I always heard they just lost the original. It’s not the only one they lost, rite? I mean, they wouldn’t have him redraw it to censor it... They’d just censor it...

Any word if the Faulconer score is on this set? Or any confirmed audio tracks?
