It’s just something I’ve been wondering. Does anyone have any information on it?

Though I can't think of any actual examples right now, if there're any regions that received only the original DB, that means it's practically more popular than Z there. When it comes to where both of them have been broadcast, from what I know, Z is always more dominant. In the case of receiving only the original manga, it's got no rebranding in the Saiyan arc, so the questions is meaningless.

Speaking of the regions where the original DB has a relatively big presence, if not as much as Z, I think the East Asian and Southeast Asian countries fall into such a category. Probably the same applies to Spain, too.

Latin America adores OG Dragon Ball. Sure, Dragon Ball is more popular but OG DB is seen as a masterpiece.

This forum is so over-dramatic that it's not even funny.

I can't think of any examples either, but I think the fact TOEI never did a Kai for OG Dragon Ball and renamed it DBZ Kai for international audiences speaks volumes. Regardless of quality, Z is infinitely more popular, there's no contest.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula

Nope, even in Japan DBZ is more popular, but OG DB is held with more reverence.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Well, at least over there they don't outright sideline OG Dragon Ball and more or less almost totally ignore it but every so often in favor of DBZ to nearly the extent as done here in the States and other places.
DB collection related goals as of now:

1.) Find decent priced copy of Dragon Box Z Vol. 4 (Done)

2.) Collect rest of manga

3.) Get rest of Daizenshuu (2-7)
