He also beat him during their second fight in the anime, the difference between that and the manga is he didn't humiliate him, as he was allowed to fall back behind his clones.Dragon Wukong wrote: ↑Sun Jun 28, 2020 9:32 pmAnd, since the thread topic discusses the manga, it may be poignant to note that Vegeta actually beat Goku Black in the manga, and drives a lot of the Future Trunks arc in that medium.

The issue with that is Vegeta becoming a "good person" immediately predates him dying and being taken out of the story for most of the arc post-Buu resurrection. Note that immediately after this, most of the focus shifts to Gohan being the one with the potential to take out Buu, with Gotenks and Goku fending him off just buying time for Gohan's inevitable comeback. While that comeback ends up being fruitless, it's still a focus for the majority of the arc.
Let me give you some perspective. Volumes 20 to 26 of DBZ make up the Majin Buu saga. The first one, volume 20, focuses almost entirely on Gohan, who with Goku dead, is filling in for the role of protagonist proper. Vegeta's death is in Chapter 274, partway through volume 23. Vegeta does not come back until chapter 306, 2 chapters before the end of volume 25 and the start of the final volume. That's 2 whole volumes later. Gohan's arc compromises a majority of the focus in the Buu arc as a whole, even when Goku comes back to fill in the role as protagonist. Vegeta can't be the deuteragonist of the Buu arc as a whole when he isn't even present for an entire volume of the arc.

Who said immediately? It wasn't immediate. Gohan and Buutenks are used similarly to Piccolo on Namek vs Frieza. Vegeta is in the Buu saga for the most important parts. Majin Vegeta, Vegito vs Buuhan, and the fight with Kid Buu. Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku are the main characters of DBZ IMODragon Wukong wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 12:58 amThe issue with that is Vegeta becoming a "good person" immediately predates him dying and being taken out of the story for most of the arc post-Buu resurrection. The title doesn't really spoil anything. You need the context of the chapter to really understand what "Vegeta served his purpose" means. Heck, it's doubtful Goku will even beat Moro. Also, the chapter was released over a week ago and you're on the Dragon Ball forum. People will want to discuss it.

This title does give away something and titles can be done so they don't. Please don't do that, thanks.Dragon Wukong wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 12:00 pmThe title doesn't really spoil anything. Maybe they will fuse into MUI Evolved Gogeta, and hope Moro doesn't copy Vegeta's new ability? They would probably need to teleport away from Earth to complete the fusion though or Moro will stop them
