Do you think we'll eventually get a new type of fusion introduced

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Hope not, I actually wish that Super never used fusion of any kind moving forward and stuck with God forms to show God forms being the best. Wouldn't have minded a scene where Goku and Vegeta do fuse but the instant that Gogeta/Vegito turned into a super saiyan God they instantly defuse because the fusion techniques simply can handle that much power.

If anything, I hope they unify the fusions with a ki control explanation and Potara being just a tool to achieve this.

The issue isn't fusion as much as it being overused. The problem is that fusion has been used so much in Super that it's lost its importance. GT, for all its flaws (and there are many), managed to keep the weight of fusion intact by not only using it once, but saving it for the very end. With that said, I didn't expect Super to wait until the end as well, as it's already far longer than GT and will just continue to grow, but using fusion in 3 stories in a row was just overkill.
