Also, how many chances has Moro gotten? He's gotten way more than half of the villains Goku faced. This bean and healing him is like his third chance and he blew given the next panel he tries to attack Goku. I've seen more sympathetic villains get killed and they haven't pulled half the shit Moro did, after this he should be headset on killing Moro. No bs, no 'but maybe he can change' shit. End HIM.

That's the problem I have with it. It would be fine if Toyotaro hadn't been writing Moro as a pure evil monster for literally the entire arc.Femme Fatale Kikaza wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:06 pm I've seen more sympathetic villains get killed and they haven't pulled half the shit Moro did
This is the climactic final fight of the arc and we still know jack shit about Moro's backstory. Let that sink in.
Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I mean, Dragon Ball see's basically anyone as redeemable if it wishes to keep that character around, but it's never really cheapened it too much as a sudden friendship speech would. Vegeta left a villain, returned the next arc as a villain forced to work with the heroes, came the next arc as a bastard who's only less villainous because he simply has no reason to be at that moment, then developed into an anti-hero with a mid-life crisis during the Buu arc and only by BoG had he fully transitioned into a good guy. Other villains that were redeemed like Tien, Yamcha and Piccolo had weren't really that evil (well, depending on how you view Piccolo's relation to King Piccolo), so it isn't that hard to swallow that they redeemed themselves rather quickly. Yamcha was just a theif, Tien was always struggling internally with being a killer and Piccolo just generally wanted to beat Goku despite his claims of World Domination (and he redeemed himself over two arcs technically).SupremeKai25 wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 11:53 am
I agree with you but that's the problem. This show doesn't shy away from redeeming these kind of people. Vegeta committed mundicide, tried to destroy the Earth, killed Goku's friends, then when he was given a second chance he went back to slaughtering and pillaging innocent villages on Namek. And yet, despite all that, he was redeemed and is now considered a good guy by everyone. I believe Toriyama even said in the past that Vegeta was originally supposed to remain a pure evil character, but he kept him around and gave him a redemption arc because he noticed how popular he was.
So then if the standard for redeemable villains is so low, I won't be shocked if Goku pulls some miraculous power of friendship speech with Moro. Disappointed for sure, because there are other people who deserved redemption more than Moro, but not shocked.
So, i don't think Dragon Ball has really set a presedent for Moro to be suddenly redeemed in one chapter because of a speech. I doubt even Toyo would side-step such development like that.

I think he's just healing him so he can show him how thoroughly outclassed he still is at full power. I think Goku wants it to really sink in that Moro can't do shit against him, and I think he's going to lecture him a bit, like he did with Freeza, and we'll see where it goes from there. I think Goku wants to kick his ass some more, and I think Goku's just not the kind of guy to execute an opponent who's begging for mercy.
Goku's about to beat the shit out of him, again. But we'll see where the end of this issue goes. Hopefully not with another fake out, cliffhanger, Moro surprise. But probably.

They wouldnt make Vegeta get that "split fusion" ability just to have Goku win without needing it. I'm convinced Goku will lose UI right before he attacks, gets destroyed again. and then Vegeta will use his technique.

Someone just split Moro, kill him and send 7-3 to prison. End the arc already, like it should've been chapters ago...If the Z fighters fuck this up and ultimately nobody can beat Moro, just have Beerus do his job and end it, because I'd rather he do something instead of just spectating the fight(which he could do from his own planet).

If Vegeta is to get the win, why bother having Goku lose 2 fights ? why not just have him start out with MUI instead of Omen, mess things up, then have Vegeta step in and finish things ? They're just dragging things out for no reason.Dbzfan94 wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:28 pm They wouldnt make Vegeta get that "split fusion" ability just to have Goku win without needing it. reading the spoilers, I'm let down. It's a Goku thing to do yeah, but you would think he would have learned his lesson by now.
I'm just tired of the same things happening again, you know. This arc has way too many plot points that happened in previous db arcs. I'm kind of tired of this arc, and just want it to end.
idk, this arc had lot's of potential to be amazing, what a let down. Maybe Toyotaro isn't the guy for this job.

Somebody end this arc...now. Someone. Kill Moro so we can leave. This senzu bean thing makes Merus's death look stupider and pointless, I hope Merus isn't revived so he doesn't' have to learn about the stupid shit Goku pulled or be turned into a mortal. Keep him dead so we can move on and do something else.
Besides, unless Goku's MUI burns out again, he should just kick Moro's ass again. What's his plan here? Beat Moro until he says that he's gonna 'redeem' himself? He already had Moro near death prior, there's no point in trying to spare him.

By the way, I don't know if this has been pointed out yet but I'd be interested to see Beerus' reaction to Goku using hakai. The first time Goku used hakai it was against Fused Zamasu, however Beerus was not present at that battle since Destroyers are not allowed to travel through time. So this would be the first time Beerus saw that Goku can use hakai. I imagine he'd have strong feelings about it, he could even see him as a threat. I mean, what's stopping Goku from just using hakai on Beerus? He isn't immortal so...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
It took Goku basically three hits to dominate Moro. He’s no threat whatsoever right now.
It’s not even similar to what was happening with Cell when Gohan was toying around too much, because Ultra Instinct ensures that there’s no way Moro can try anything crazy without Goku immediately reacting.
It would be way out of character if Goku just went there and killed a defenseless begging-for life villain, no matter how evil. Especially in such a case where Goku is clearly way superior and still at full power.
I hope Goku keeps beating up Moro over and over while giving him senzus. Maybe something will happen within Moro and he will decide to actually hand himself over to Jaco, and possibly Vegeta may go there and separate him from 73.
I still don’t expect this arc to end with Moro alive, but I wouldn’t mind him being kept alive and deciding to spend a lot of years fully reforming in the Galactic Prison. Until eventually Goku comes in and ask them to free him up to participate in some kind of tournament.

We're probably going to get at least another 6 months before this is over.
October: Goku messes up and the chapter is just him getting beat up, but ends with Vegeta stepping in.
November: Vegeta starts fighting, only for it to be a "warm up".
December: Now the real fight begins, and Vegeta manages to successfully separate Moro and 7-3, but he somehow messes up.
January: Moro and 7-3 beat up everyone, and the chapters ends with Buu reaching the battlefield.
February: Buu takes both of them on, and somehow manages to take down 7-3, but fails to take down Moro.
March: Beerus decides to jump in to save his food planet. ending finally in Moro's death. Moro somehow takes Beerus down.
April: Goku and Vegeta fuse, but the fight is also a "warm up".
May: Moro is finally killed.
June: Arc epilogue.

Regarding your list, I doubt 7-3 would be evil if he gets separated. He's been comrades with the little guy who Moro killed on his eyes, then literally eaten himself. If anything he'd fight against Moro for this treatment.

We all thought it was going to end back in June with Vegeta, yet 4 months later there's no sign of it being anywhere close to ending. This arc takes bad pacing to a whole new level.Xeogran wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:51 pmIf it doesn't end by Jump Festa I can already see people here collectively rage

Me before: I'll give this arc a shot, it can't be that bad! Maybe Moro will at be somewhat interesting and entertaining. Also some of the character designs are good(female trio) and I like Merus!
Me now: End the arc. Kill Moro now, he's boring and he's dragging out this arc. They are creating excuses and stupid situations to keep him alive. KILL HIM so we can move on to the next arc. Merus's death is looking 100x more stupid given how Goku is now healing Moro after he was literally dying. Someone make the arc end by November or at worst December...

There's no way this arc is ending that soon, unless the pacing speed triples. It seems like each chapter only covers one plot point, which is insane considering the page count and how long we have to wait between chapters. I definitely agree it should've been long over by now.Femme Fatale Kikaza wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 12:57 pmSomeone make the arc end by November or at worst December...
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
If Beerus had done his job, Buu and Moro would've been killed millions of years before Goku was even born. This fight is basically a learning experience for Goku since Beerus was been watching for the last few chapters and could jump in at any moment if he doesn't agree with Goku's decision. I don't think he will but nothing would stop Beerus if he wanted to.SupremeKai25 wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 4:24 am Goku is officially retarded haha, imagine saving the life of a universal threat. I hope Beerus destroys him after this. Fuck the Earth and all its people, they have endangered the cosmos way too many times. If I were Beerus, I would straight up destroy Moro and the rest of that accursed planet, there's only so much stupidity I can tolerate.

Well that's too bad. I don't want them to draw this out until March. We'll be here all day. Who knows how many excuses of writing they'll pull out to make sure Moro sticks around. Hell, this arc should've been over ages ago. Honestly Vegeta killing him would've been the best ending so we can move on to a seperate arc.Matches Malone wrote: Tue Oct 13, 2020 1:00 pmThere's no way this arc is ending that soon, unless the pacing speed triples.
