Why does Hell look so different in GT over DBZ?
I'm surprised that we never really got an answer in the anime or in anything else, really. I would like to hear anything regarding this, even headcanon.

Hell is likely huge. The part we saw Goku fall off in Snake Way was likely a small part of it. Remember Hell has to host millions of billions of evil people, and we saw virtually nobody there in the places where DBZ takes place.
Also during the Kid Boo fight the villains watching were clearly in a different part of Hell than the Saiyan saga too.

I'm pretty sure it was just the staff wanting to do something different...so they did. Aside from Series Director Kasai Osamu damned near everyone working on Dragon Ball GT had been working on the previous two series. Heck, the idea could have very well likely just been Kasai's idea!

Same reason planet Vegeta kept changing colors I guess.

I believe that GT is set in a different continuity than the original DBZ anime. It can explain why the dead can't die again in Hell.
