Who exactly is that person. Sorry, I haven't really been keeping up with casting.
I'm guessing that's Chow Yun Fat's stunt double. They're wearing the same clothes, with the exception of Chow Yun Fat having a jacket over the attire.

He looks a little young to be his stunt double. ^^;

But I guess part of the job is no one ever really gets to see your face (if you're the stunt double).

Oh, about that stadium screenshot; I'm betting they're just going to copy/paste the small crowd all over the audience.

 This movie just keeps getting more and more ridiculous, the more stuff we get. I can't even hate it anymore, I feel like I'm speaking ill of the mentally handicapped.

Yeah. And Gohan was a hermit.

Wow, that set design is woeful.

Is anyone else getting a Street Fighter: The Movie vibe?

Whaddya mean, "woeful?" It's got a very rustic, outdoorsy, retro look to it. The kind of place where you'd expect an old martial arts master to live.

Anyway, another update from the Jump SQ scan. Some comments from the actors:
Jump SQ wrote:Justin Chatwin (Goku)

I am very honored to be able to play Goku. When I am playing gentle and loving Goku, I feel as if I am given energy from him. In the movie, I have a lot of great action scenes. After the movie is finished post production, I’ll get to see my Kamehameha appear on the screen, and I get very excited when I imagine that.

Chow Yun-Fat (Master Roshi)

On my career as an actor, it is my first time to play a manga character. Dragonball is read all over the world, have many hard core fans. I hope they won’t be disappointed by my acting (laugh). But to be honest with you, I’m totally satisfied with my performance as Master Roshi.

Emmy Rossum (Bulma)

It is a very exciting thing for me to play Bulma, because I’m a big fan of her myself. She’s intelligent, motivated and has a short temper like a teenager. I really want to make all the fans of her happy.

Joon Park (Yamcha)

I like Dragonball very much because I read it when I was child, so when I got to audition I begged the director to “Please give me any small part, like a man carrying sandbags behind the screen.” (laugh) Furthermore, there is Chow Yun-Fat who is my hero from when I was child. This is a dream role for me.
Glad we finally get some more info about Goku's character in the movie, and I'm excited and a bit relieved. Plus, Kamehameha.

It's got a very generic Karate Kid feel to it.

But I was speaking more in terms of the tournament ring, it's completely and utterly bland, it looks like it's straight out of any late 80's faux-asian martial arts movie.

Do you guys remember what the Tenkaichi Budokai looked like back in Dragonball? It had one wall separating the audience and the ring and everyone had to stand and watch. I think the current design fits that sort of image in terms of spirit and general feel. As for Gohan/Goku's house not so much but I do give credit where credit is due.

So no one is going to talk about what the actors think of their characters ? Seriously ?

Yet you say nothing to contribute to said topic.

You're right. So I'm asking what do you think of the actor's comments ? :D

By reading what the actors feel about the film, I'm starting to warm up to seeing it.
The series doesn't start with the arrival of Raditz. Stop being lazy and watch Dragonball.

Those two men on the side better not be on camera. If so...that'd look a little lame in the Gokû v. Piccolo battle...

I wonder why they still haven't revealed Piccolo ? I think its great that Chatwin is going to portray Goku as an easy going individual. At least this sorta confirms that he won't be frowning for the whole movie.

Lots of productions now lower the amount of people in an audience and digitally copy them back into the picture. 300 and Star Wars both did this in their later (earlier) chapters.

As I said the last time this came up...

Y'know those large iron structures they use to lift a movie camera into the air? Surely you've seen them, sometimes the movie guy goes up with the camera and sits on a platform?

Those are called cranes.

Not that I disagree with you but why would someone take a picture of that? It seems like one of those irrelevant pictures of the sky and dirt I used to take when I was 11 on family vacations just for the sake of using the camera.

Well the sign is a vibrant orange, not that we don't see that in the movie at all but usually that color is used so people pay notice to equipment,

Note it also looks like a single coat of paint.

The allignment also looks way off.

It seems really unlikely this sign is used in the film for a character.

I'll believe it when I see a picture of him not scowling.
