Seems like Babidi (or someone related to Babidi?) will play a role in the plot. I wonder if he had anything to do with the de-aging wish.

Their age goes up then down then up again. Like a very confused Benjamin Button.

Really will need to see more from this, looks like they've gone with a more chibi style which I've always hated unfortunately. Looked well animated. Hopefully the series is gripping enough.

This is such a fantastically stupid idea on every level. I was annoyed with the GT rehash of Goku as a child, but the fact that it's e*v*e*r*y*o*n*e strikes me as Toriyama just having a fucking laugh at this point. I guess it's better??? Whatever, sure. Next you can make them all girls. Or robots. Or furries. Disney princesses reimagined as egg-salad sandwiches on Buzzfeed, YOU WON'T BELIEVE NUMBER 6.

I have absolutely no idea what to make of this. This franchise is beyond directionless.

I think the most exciting thing about this is the possibility of this series focusing more on adventure than action.

According to Ajay the series has been in production for a long time. It's apparently been in production since 2021 and a pilot was finished in the first half of 2022. O.o It seems like this was Toei Animation's big "hey, we promise that this won't be another Dragon Ball Super" to Shueisha. Staff recruitment began in April 2022, with production hitting full swing in October 2022 (after Dragon Quest Dai ended).

This sound super exciting, and I wanna thank Ajay for possibly putting a target on his back lol >_<

Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Wait...if the name means "Great Evil", then could the setting of the opening shots of the trailer be the Demon Realm (from where Dabura came from?).
If this series actually starts exploring the Demon Realm, then I would REALLY be into that!

"Stay tuned", "come and watch from the comfort of your home", "we'll have more news soon", *insert any and all other types of hyping up and tease*...

Yup. It's the one thing to look forward to. That and that Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is involved. But from the get-go, turning everyone into kids already looks unnecessary.

I see a Kaiou-shin in that rotating shot, and it looks like they are watching scenes from the Majin Buu arc, so I bet you're right to some degree.

At least from what I'm reading, at least from a production standpoint, Toei is putting in a lot of effort. But I can't shake the feeling that all this effort should have been put into a Dragon Ball series that didn't a have core concept that felt so... old hat.

Kaioshin of East is involved, Babidi appears and seems to be getting some attention... If one of these two characters isn't a Makaio or Makaioshin, heads will roll. One of them even looks like a Kaioshin...

Cool stuff! The trailer actually looks pretty neat now that we don't have that obnoxious TikTokker going "BOOOOOO! GIVE US THE STUPID MANGA STORY ARCS THAT NOBODY LIKES! BOOOOOOOO!"

So far, my main complaint is that it looks a bit too "kawaii" for my tastes. I get that Dragon Ball has always been mostly for kids, but that doesn't mean it's some My Little Pony rainbow-fest. Hopefully that's just the trailer, though. Some of the more serious stuff teased in the trailer looks really intriguing (especially what's going on with Babidi and that evil Kai).

I wonder who this is, if it's just a King Piccolo re-cap since it seems they're looking at the Buu arc in the image posted above

Well, if Goten and Trunks are babies, Pan and Bra are sperms.

So, will this topic be given it's own section on the forum? Super got it's own so I'm just curious.
