We see Bulma in the trailer.
I think they meant Bra. Bulla is the name Funimation came up with for Bra because they were worried about 9 year old boys looking up bras on the internet.

So the Dragon Ball Magic rumor with Goku and Shin was bullshit after all. Gee, who would have thought 😑

On topic, don't know how I like the concept of Daima. Seems to be geared towards a younger audience. As for voice acting, do the actors use the adult voices of the characters?

I liked that they went back to 2D animation even though it looks like the scenes with Shenlong will be CGI and aesthetically in my opinion it looks better than most of DBS.

What doesn't convince me for now is the concept they will do this time, but I'll wait to see the final product. Although with the premise it looks like, I don't think it will last beyond a standard 12 episode season, but we'll see.

Oh man, the regression, dissapointing, is there like an actual reason for not continuing the manga?

I feel like there's gonna be such a lot of talent under Shintani, I can see his traits on this trailer, but again wasted on this kind of material, like super hero was, wasted on material that seems more like side stuff, filler

There are a lot of cool things! In the opening scene, you can see a lot of iconic DBZ scenes redrawn and reanimated, and the blood seems to be back (Vegeta's head). The animations are cool, as well as the colors that remind me a lot of the Budokai opening style. What I don't like is that it's clearly a fusion of DBSD and GT. Their looks are not like kids but super deformed chibi. And I don't like this trend of giving Goku that Luffy expression. Overall, I'm very curious, but I'm afraid of potential new power-ups... :shifty:

p.s. Conspiracy moment: Could it be that they decided to make them small because chibi SD characters are easier to animate?

Nobody said the manga's ending. Might have a Daima adaptation arc!

According to Ajay some workers on the series suddenly received even more time to work on the project. That's definitely exciting to hear! :D With a year left to work on the project I'm honestly pumped to see what they plan on doing.

Is this suppose to take place after EoZ?

I just saw the trailer, I'm buying it. The chibi cast is like the lobby of FighterZ, extremely cute.

I'm very happy about this.

From the trailer it seems like it might focus a lot on the Supreme Kais/Demons/Magic storyline that sort of got sidelined after the Buu saga (only to get brief cameos with Zamasu in the FT saga and Grand Supreme Kai in Moro saga).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Manga will also make its own version of Dragon Ball Daima. It seems to be the next "Big project" that Toriyama has been working on and it would only be natural to adapt it in Manga form too.

Yeah I get the sense that this is meant to be GT redux: take the core concept of GT, and just now make everyone a kid.

I will say this: The smartest thing that GT did was know that the only way to deal with the power creep was to lower the stakes, and it seems like Daima is doing the same. And much like GT, there seems to be an emphasis on low stakes adventure with Goku and co going on a "Grand Tour" across the galaxy.

The animation does look good, and I do like Goku returning with the power pole (cause I just don't feel like saying the japanese name), and I imagine that by shrinking everyone, this gives characters like Yamcha and Kuririn a chance to shiine.

Guess we'll see in 2024.

I mean...what is the actual plan here? Is this an entire however-many hundreds of episodes show where they're kids? Are we getting arcs? Is the fact that it's called something different an indication that it's a side-story?

I know it's going to sound weird, given how I was... NOT a fan of GT aging Goku down (primarily once TOEI tried to 'have its cake and eat it too with the addition of SSJ4), but for some reason, having the ENTIRE cast aged down allows me to swallow this pill a fair deal better.

I'll admit, this looks interesting. I'll almost certainly be checking it out once it's released. I have to wonder though, is the story basically GT, but the ENTIRE cast joins Goku on the journey (as opposed to only Pan and Trunks)? Or are we looking at a time travel story where Goku and the gang relive the story of DB from Emperor Pilaf to Kid Buu? Or something totally different?

Side note, but where are Pan and Bulla during all of this? I have an idea, but it's a bit... dark, given what's happened to characters like Goten, 'Prime' Trunks, and Marron... :(

Speaking of whom, I can't believe they FINALLY aged up that trio after a decade following the DB renaissance... ONLY TO AGE THEM BACK DOWN AGAIN???

The rumor that this was going to be an online series still needs to be confirmed, is there any news about its broadcasting in Japan?

I see this as a 12-24 episode series. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think it's a web series. The fact that it was announced in the USA and not in Japan makes it seem like a worldwide release.

I'm not sure, but seeing Trunks return as a baby, probably because he was a child, makes me think it's before Super Hero.

Hopefully it is, I can not believe this is way moving forward in a canon sense so being just an online thing like Dragon Ball Heroes is fine
