I almost celebrated too. I'm gonna trust Geekdom on this one since he said the game will have local versus.

I think the character selection should have every character that is the same person under one slot for example:

You're hovering over Goku who will be Z Goku on default, but if you want to switch between the different iterations of him you push LT/RT.

Kid Goku, Goku Z, Goku Super, Goku GT, Goku Daima would all be under the same selection slot.

After selecting the character you want, you can pick the transformations and costumes you want.

Hopefully UI Goku would be a transformation and not a separate character like Xenoverse 2.

A few other examples:

Goten, GT Goten, Super Goten are under one character slot

So the first 3 characters of the roster would be Goku, Gohan and Goten, there would be no duplicates of them throughout the roster (unless you include Goku Black). I think it would be easier to find who you're looking for.

This gets a little tricky with Trunks though because we can't say Kid Trunks and Future Trunks are the same people.

Buu Saga Gohan would be the Default, Kid Goten would be Z and Super Goten up until Super Hero - that would be Goten's default

Super Goten would be Super Hero Goten, I suppose we could just say Goten (Super Hero)

Has there been a producer panel before in the previous BH’s? What do they entail? if the producer for Sparking Zero is among the list of attendees then we can at least expect sometning.

I feel like most of the DLC is going to be characters from Daima and maybe manga only DBS characters.

V-Jump released an article on Sparking Zero, which includes a few new screenshots:

My Japanese isn't the best, but I can confirm that the article says at least 3 different times that this game is going to have a big ass roster:

• The yellow text at the edge of the first page says "A Large Number of Super Warriors Appear"
• The first line of the article states that there's "An overwhelming number of playable characters"
• The line next to Bergamo, Mr. Satan and Broly says "A super-dense lineup that'll excite fans"

On a seperate note, the line next to Jiren, Trunks and 17 says 'Even DBS characters will also appear', which might confirm that the Trunks and 17 we saw in the trailer are in fact DBS variants and not just alternate costumes for DBZ Future Trunks and 17. Needless to say, Sparking Zero might actually be BIG.

I hope we see the return of what if stories. We haven't had proper what if stories since RB1 in 2009. Xenoverse 1-2 never had any because they are just a big what if story anyways.

They are likely going to see other slots for the same character. We will probably have DB Kid Goku, DBZ Adult Goku, DBS Adult Goku, and GT Kid Goku on the base roster. DB Daima Goku will probably be DLC.
