Apparently, this aired in China in 2023 to kick off the new year. Contains live performance of Dragon Ball theme song. Enjoy!

Confused me a bit watching this in the morning. Thought it was last year. Turns out it was aired last night.

This is surprisingly better than I expected. The cover of makafushigi Adventure is a 8/10 for me They did cut out one part of the song so that's why it's a 8
CAST; The casting was pretty good actually like for kid goku and kid chi-chi and all the other actors to 10/10
STORY; The story confuses me because the amount of characters they have like they don't have bulma, yamcha, or gohan Surprisingly, and they also skip some arcs.
But skipping the freeze and cell saga is a tragedy.
The fact that they have Arale but not bulma is crazy.
Overall it's a solid 8.5/10

It somewhat reminds me of this.

Arale's appearance caught me by surprise and fighting with Vegeta of all people.

Must have been awesome to be there live. A WTF moment for me was suddenly hearing "Ka mejjj haaa mejjjj haaaa!" from Schemmel out of Goku...

I thought I was hearing things. I wouldn't mind an actual stage show done in this way. I hear in Japan, they do a lot of stage shows based on Shonen Jump manga.

Yeah, Dr. Slump is popular in China, and the little girl who played young Chi Chi was able to come back out on stage for the finale as Arale. Logistically speaking, that was a good idea. Overall, I thought it was pretty damn good. And it made sense to skip Gohan and Piccolo, I mean Dragon Ball is a Goku Vegeta thing if you're boiling it down to 15 mins, and I wonder if not having Piccolo was due to China's modern censorship about magic and demons on TV, could be. Buu is also magic, I know, just a thought. Speaking of, I didn't realize the Gogeta arc was such a big deal over there.

Found out about it here:

It was a great watch. I wish they could have brought in Frieza, but it was a good enough tribute.
