Following on the footsteps of the DBS thread, this one is for cataloguing and discussing the series performance on Japanese TV. Will be interesting yo see how much has changed since the SUPER days over 6 years ago.

3.2% is the household viewership percentage rate of the first episode; 1.6% is the episode's individual viewership percentage rate.

Is this going to be like DBGT in which the viewership ratings of that series are really low, rendering it unsuccessful?

10th place is not a flop.
Also, GT's ratings were roughly the same as mid-Boo arcs ratings on average. Japanese people were already feeling Dragon Ball fatigue before 1996 as it had been on the air for nearly a decade and the manga was around for longer.

Episode 1 fun fact, this was the first time Dragon Ball ever beat One Piece in ratings, and did in both individual and household rating, while both were concurrently airing,
that week OP got 1.5% and 2.5% respectively.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Also, GT's ratings were roughly the same as mid-Boo arcs ratings on average. Japanese people were already feeling Dragon Ball fatigue before 1996 as it had been on the air for nearly a decade and the manga was around for longer.
Adding to this the highest rated episode of GT (19.7 percent) outperformed the highest rated episode of Pocket Monsters ever (18.6 percent) obviously a few factors in play there but still.
As far as Daima's ratings go, traditional tv viewership has been downforever. If a tv show can even make 1,000,000 viewers in the U.S that's considered a hit when before that would be seen as a huge flop.
It's also airing at 11:40 PM, on Fridays sure but a lot of people still go to bed before then. Dragon Ball Super was averaging a 5 percent viewership with a 9AM Sunday timeslot.

It seems fairly accurate.
Thank you for sharing that data.
For a moment I thought that with "rating" you could be referring to the Audience that could watch it, as in AA, B, or C for movies.
In which case and only for the record, I believe is suitable for all ages.
Please don't ruin it by adding "Roshi" moments, please Toei Animation, please, if you really want Dragon Ball to continue to live in the hearts of generations to come.

It's a shame Dragon Ball Daima didn't make it to Netflix's Top 10 list in the US, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand while it did in other countries during October 21-27.

I mean, the show is not airing on the Netflix US region(don’t know about the others), it’s airing on Crunchyroll in the US so it would be impossible to end up on these rankings .
