Powerscaling Inconsistency

Is powerer scaling really so inconsistent between mediums so as to be useless? Or is that an invalid view?

Dragonball powerscaling is not so inconsistent that you cannot determine who is stronger between two different characters. DB has a very simply power system to follow, characters usually don't have powerful abilities that can change an outcome of a fight.

Feats and statements are usually more than enough evidence to determine who wins in a fight in dragonball

I wouldn’t say powerscaling is useless, since Dragon Ball gives us clear plot devices, like transformations and fusions, that help establish character strength. The issue is when different works don’t align. The anime, manga, and movies often contradict each other so much that they might as well be different continuities. Because of that, powerscaling within a single version (anime-only, manga-only, etc.) can work, but trying to scale across all mediums gets messy fast.
