Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I really think a better narrative format for DBM would to have been the Vargas setting up a battle tower-type arena, where they picked the strongest fighters from a bunch more different universes(as opposed to only 20) and had them contend against the U18 team until the U18 team lost a certain amount of matches. It could have offered for a lot more universal & temporal outcomes to showcase, and we wouldn't have to keep focusing on U16's issues regarding Vegetto & Bra.
I mean, why not explore universes where non-Saiyan characters were Saiyans or villains being good guys by virtue of the multiverse truly exploring infinite possibilities?

Because then you couldn't do all the cool want if battles fans talked about.theherodjl wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 9:45 pm I really think a better narrative format for DBM would to have been the Vargas setting up a battle tower-type arena, where they picked the strongest fighters from a bunch more different universes(as opposed to only 20) and had them contend against the U18 team until the U18 team lost a certain amount of matches. Multiverse did good at getting all those what if battles the western side of the fandom talked about for years like Dabra vs Cell, Nail vs one of the Ginyus, a Goku/Vegeta fusion vs Broly ect.

Hello. I got a PM from Chickeno so I came here. I will give a few clarifications here.
(the text i use there was used in personal emails to people and will be used in other forums, yes, i copy-paste)
I wasn't at the twitch and didn't see the infamous reason the twitch was closed for 24 hours. I was send a screenshot.
This is obviously, very obviously the drawing of an adult.
First, the body shape is the one of an adult.
Then, this Phipsil here also is not that much of a "chibi" or "SD" (the proportions just show a big head, which is actually quite standard in many mangas). Draw the ending of her legs, and you see she is in fact way taller than the Son Bra on her left. Her head is also smaller, etc.
If you consider all Chibis being all children, this is weird. Chibis in "Chibi Son Bra" comic are for most chibi-ed adults and even the character "Chibi Son Bra" got adult breasts in le-nuage drawings.
In my opinion, to see a child nude here is perversion in the eye of the beholder.
As a bonus, Phipsil is old. She is a professional elite soldier, and I never imagined her to be less than 25. (I tell this because I know some people consider the actually invented age of invented characters important. I don't. It's generally used as an excuse to draw pr*n of an elf-child "who is 1000 years old so it's ok" and that makes me puke)
About the impact on DBM:
Well obviously, Asura saw he went too far, and we won't draw nudes on twitch again.
I can't promise on the other hand that DBM won't ever be associated with nudes. I'm not afraid of human bodies and there was nudes before (see novel of Hanasia).
Seems to me many are getting all worked up for a one-time occurrence of a twitch drawing of one adult girl seen nude from her back.
The other thing:
DBMultiverse isn't related to the team of "Multiverse Budokai".
We have been giving a few links and help when it started because it was cool. I spoke a lot with the creator to give him information on characters, etc.
But from the start I asked them to change there group name (originally "DBM Animated") and logo, to differentiate their group from ours. They ask money for their work and I'm against asking money online for making fanart.
It's now been years and nothing happened. We don't give them support nor publicity since a long time.
I don't like the fact money was asked for years and that almost nothing was produced at the end. But it's not my role to fight for the people who paid. I don't know the details, I don't know the context, I don't know the reasons. I'm not involved in this.

Bro is still trying to defend blatant loli art with "clearly an adult girl nude from the back". Absolute clown tier defense. Asura drew a sexualized image of a child. No "Oh actually she's 400 year old" argument has ever convinced anybody, be it making them 20 or 200. You can't draw a more "realistic" design of a chibi as anything other than the original design, because that defies the point entirely. That's how it works.
Also, the fact that you have a detailed analysis of the nsfw child drawing comes off as a pretty bad look too.
Absolute clown argument.
Also the fact that you are just copy-pasting the same stock response everywhere is very funny.
So effectively you came here to say "We did nothing wrong, you're all wrong, this drawing of a child is an adult woman, do not believe your lying eyes. I might do it again."

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Honestly, I don't see the problem. When I see the picture, I interpret them as chibi style, not as a child. The official Dragon Ball manga and anime had worse stuff than this, FFS. This feels like manufactured controversy from people looking for something to be offended by. I know it's in vogue to be hyper critical of everything Salagir does, but come on.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
The original Dragon Ball manga came out 40 years ago and everyone finds those parts weird, even in universe everyone thinks lowly of the perverted characters when they do such actions, also I can't say it was worse because at least Bulma looked like an actual adult but I can't say I care for this drama much either.
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't know about everyone else but DragonicHero already hates every aspect of the comic for years now so I'm not surprised by his comments here. He specifically made an account just to express his anger towards DBM and doesn't seem to have any interest in the rest of the forum. He's free to do that but no one writing fanfiction intends for that kind of reaction.ZeroNeonix wrote: Sat Apr 05, 2025 8:42 pm Honestly, I don't see the problem. GTA6 is out on May 26, 2026. Let's see if DBM will finish by then.

For sure it won't. At the pace it's going I would bet 2030
Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Maybe even later. From what I remember, it was mentioned somewhere that they would be “an adventure” after the tournament. Combine that with all the filler specials, DBM might be going on until some of us are in are 40 and 50s. Multiverse began a couple of months before GTA VI released back in 2008, and will most likely still be going on well after VI releases next year.

I'm going to just say the first arc to see if they finish that before GTA VI personally for the race lol.Dbzfan94 wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 1:02 pmMaybe even later. I agree if they have a second arc we'll be here another 20 years.
Props that Salagir didn't drop this after all this time.

If they have a second arc, it'll likely be short and nowhere near as long as the tournament. I definitely give the team major credit for sticking with this for so long, as anyone else would've dropped it a long time ago. That's Oda level of dedication.miguelnuva1 wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 3:04 pm I agree if they have a second arc we'll be here another 20 years.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I for sure think the true confrontation with XXI will happen after the tournament, and that he will probably lose to Goku somehow. Or he will do something against the tournament rules during the match, be disqualified, and hell will break loose.
That section of the story won't be as long as...the whole story so far. But we're still years away from this thing ending. Probably 3 or 4 years I'd guess. The majin rebellion part of the story alone went on for over 3 years, which is absolutely crazy to think about.
