For months, I've been reading that people have stopped playing this game, but honestly, I'm getting the opposite impression lately. I used to upload custom battles and barely got any views, but now I'm seeing a lot more engagement, over 40 or 50 views, even though it's the same crappy custom battles I've always made. I can't say much about the online side of the game, but when it comes to the offline part, it feels like more people are active than before.

So, since the game has too little stages to cover the entire franchise, I'd like to get some feedback about how do you reproduce stages that aren't in the game?

Here's what I prefer:

Planet Vegeta, Planet Tsufuru, 1st Demon Realm, Janemba, Dead Zone.
-I've tried Rocky Land and Islands in the afternoon for that red-ish glow.

2nd Demon Realm.
-Namekusei.

3rd Demon Realm.
-I guess Rocky Lands in the afternoon, too.

Shadow Dragons arc, Z Broly movie, Bojack movie.
-Destroyed Future City.

BoG.
-City or Open Field, not sure which one is better.

RoF.
-Islands - night.

U6 Tournament.
-I'm torn between ROSAT and Kaioshin Planet, I lean more towards the ROSAT.

SH, Hirudegan, Slug.
-City - night.

Turles, Broly's 2nd coming.
- Open Field -night.

I still can't see how to recreate the Ice stage for DBS Broly and the Super A-13 movie.

Oh shit, didn't see this one coming, Shallot's here.

Hopefully he makes his way to Xenoverse 2 as well, with all the transformations, of course.

Can't wait to play as Gene Shallot.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

I don’t think all were necessary but Super Saiyan and God would have been nice to see.

Nice to have a DLC come out of the blue, even though I don't know nor care who this fella is, is still good news.

I guess, this could mean that missing characters like Piccolo Daimao, Tao Pai Pai or Super 17 could be part of the game eventually, without being announced even.

Also, is this a one-character DLC?

I hope he’s part of Season Pass, otherwise I’ll pass.
Basic promotional characters like Daima Goku leave me cold, as they are more gimmicky than actual characters.
I hope that in real life plot twist, Shallot gets at least one SSJ transformation.
It’s fun to see where the development goes, instead of dropping more accesories or game modes.
Irrelevant login bonuses and extra promo characters.
And from the end of the month, Ranked will be monthly, so “please collect the points to be the strongest fighter!”, wow and yawn. Collect points for just a number in leaderboard. MK1 gives me accesories, skins and items at least!

Still have nothing to spend the in-game money on, still getting exp. points while being maxed on 20 since after release and dragons grant me more Zeni…
At least make more warrior challenges like with Broly god dammit!
Can be movie themed, as the movie characters are just tossed in the roster. How hard is that.
The post-release support is one of the worst I’ve experienced across the games recently.
FighterZ, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat: Funky_Strudel

I wouldn’t get my hopes up. It’s clearly cross-promo for fans to get in Legends kind of thinking and I wouldn’t be surprised, if I have to spend some juice for it outside of Season Pass. It’s like there is skeleton crew of two people working on SZ now, like with Battlefront 2 and the budget is out, only being fueled by the basic DLC sales.

Yeah, this is an exception to celebrate the anniversary of the mobile game. I assume they would save any potential extra characters for a second season. Assuming they don't just drop support for this game.

A little tangent but I hate how people think Dragon Ball Heroes being dead means they can't put any characters from it into Sparking Zero.

I doubt we'll get anyone from Heroes considering how many characters from the main series are missing. Xenoverse 2 hasn't added anyone from Heroes, I don't think.

Those two and maybe Blue would have been good enough. Although with no real moves of his own, I guess additional forms for Shallot were always going to be a tough sell.

Dokkan got a Dragon Ball Heroes collab a while after it ended, and it was said it'll be the last one, even if there are more that could be done. Dimps would rather push for Super Divers, and games get each other's characters to advertise , so chances of DBH getting such collabs are lower than before

It hasn't yeah. Xeno Trunks was basically copied and pasted from DBO to Xenoverse, Chronoa is technically from DBO, but it was Xenoverse that came up with her design and personality, while DBH followed its base, Towa and Mira had a few changes in their roles (Since Mira was a villain of his own as opposed to Towa's bodyguard) and DBH followed that, Demigra is basically the same in Xenoverse and DBH, and Fu is different in both and I think both games added him at around the same time... On top of the idea of him existing since DBO.

And those are all the shared characters between both, technically none of them are from DBH as Dimps either got them from DBO, or added them a little earlier in Xenoverse or around the same time.

I'd say that if a Xenoverse 3 happens, there is a chance they'll bring a villain like Aeos, but they could just bring back Towa/Demigra or use Fu. Or maybe even reboot things.

I can’t get over random it seems to include Shallot in this game. Even Android 21 would’ve made more sense to me.

If the game had more interesting and "deep cut" newcomers to its roster like Shallot here instead of being lopsidedly loaded up with garbage from Super (both from the start and in DLC), then maybe I would have been compelled to actually play it.

I don't think it's fair to label every character from Super as "garbage." The Sparking Zero devs wanted to put the Super content in the game & it's 1 of if not the first game in the franchise to properly adapt the Super storylines into its story mode & they wanted to do so to help set the game apart from the previous ones & its contemporaries in the other game series. If the problem is that the game may have been scraping the bottom of the barrel for new characters to add, the previous 3 games also did that, & I don't think that it's fair to shit on this game alone for that. And if it's because it's Super, that's really not great either. Super's perfectly fine, if a bit underwhelming or just not as great as the original shows or manga. Definitely better than GT.

Correct. Super as a whole is irredeemable trash that has no good reason to exist, therefore characters from Super are wastes of game roster space as far as I'm concerned. If they wanted to add them anyway just because Super's the newest thing, then at minimum it should have been on top of every DB/Z/GT character from BT3's roster returning as well. And I don't really care how realistic that would or wouldn't have been — it's a matter of principle.

Though to be honest, the true last straw that made me write the game off technically wasn't even really any of the DBS characters... it was faking us out by showing real-Bardock in all the trailers, only to later reveal that fake-Bardock was actually the default version/costume for the character and the real deal had to be unlocked separately. It's false advertising, I tells ya.
Scsigs wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 2:21 amDefinitely better than GT.
In a pig's eye it is. I'd rather marathon GT a dozen times over than ever subject myself to a single episode of Super again.

I haven't touch SZ in months. Honestly, I'm waiting for all the DLC to be done so I can download all of it at once.
