Man, no one knows the meaning of respect and boundaries anymore. Rather than accuse Mike outright of spreading "false" terms, you could have privately asked him why he feels that way. Instead, you come onto his message board and make demands. Now you don't have to agree with his opinions, but at least realize that you are a guest here and have some respect. Also, no matter what Funimation or anyone else says, the season sets are not as "remastered" as they're made out to be (disappearing lines, color alterations, widescreen for a show that is best presented in 4:3, etc.) These flaws are fact, not just some guy on his website pulling stuff out of his ass. If you like them, that's great, keep buying them, but realize that not everyone agrees with that.

How many times is this necessary, though? Every time we talk about a domestic DVD release, a full year and a half after the first of these types of sets came out? I somehow think that it would make the situation even worse; note how, especially in the podcast, we try to gloss over the information as quickly as possible with the DBZ season sets, since it's been beaten to death.SSj_Rambo wrote:I know this isn't really a "factual inaccuracy", but I would like to say that I feel that if you included some screenshot comparisons between the original Funi DVD's, the season sets and maybe even the Dragonboxs people would be more interested reading everything you have to say about the sets.
We did a huge exposé and analysis when the sets first came out (DBZ season 1; Podcast Episode #0065), and our website/forum basically exploded with a variety of screen shots from worldly releases of all walks of life. There is nothing left to contribute on the subject from our end, and I have no desire to treat our visitors/readers/listeners like babies by literally throwing screen shots in their faces each time I have to write the word "widescreen" on the home page.
I think I disagree with the majority of you guys 'n gals responding. I actually encourage people to come here and voice their opinions and responses with regards to what information we present and how we present it, especially if it's a differing set of opinions. There's nothing I loathe more than fans who don't have the balls to actually step up and contribute in that fashion. Sure, it could probably be presented in a much more professional manner, but you can't win 'em all.

That's pretty much all I was trying to say. You don't have to agree with all the negative opinions of the season sets, just present your side a little better.
