A friend linked this video to me, and I thought it was kind of neat. I don't know if it's old to you guys or not, but I always found it pretty cool how certain dubbing groups would do their own covers of the original Japanese theme songs for DB/DBZ/DBGT.
Though this is cool, my personal favorite is the
English version of Mystical Adventure. I think I like it even more than the original song! It's very similar to the
English version of "Smiling Bomb" from Yu Yu Hakusho in terms of adaption (compared to the
original), I think; synth bass changed to a slap bass, re-adapted lyrics, but still very faithful to the original song in its own way.
What do you guys think about the dub adaptions? Any good ones you'd like to share? And I apologize in advance if this is a tired subject.

That Philipine dub is better than I recall. The ending isn't that good, though...
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
Entire set of philippine song dubs (released in '96 in laserdisc and tape and never heard from again) in mp3 for anyone who's interested (Album name: "Songs of a High Spirited Saga, Vol 1")

Whoa, thanks for that. I love that Movie version of Cha-La Head Cha-la.
I still don't understand the concept of holding onto a Rollercoaster to stop yourself from getting stuck in a maze.
Also, English version of Hikari no Tabi reminds me of
that song from Aladdin...

I extracted the voice of Gino Padilla and mixed with the original backing track.
