Though it pains me to part with it, I've decided to put my Dragon Box up for sale. It comes complete with the Scouter walkie-talkies, which have never been used with the exception of me wearing them once or twice. Everything that came with it is included, down to the Toei Point Club card and letter of thanks. All 8 discs are scratch-free; the case has one minor scuff due to it being on my shelf. Overall, I'd say it's in near mint condition.
I'm asking $300 for it. Shipping depends upon where you are; if you shoot me a PM with your location, I'll get back to you as soon as I can with a shipping estimate.
Hey, international peoples! I'll ship to you, too! Which is kinda rare with me, because, well...I've only done it a few times.
Any other questions? PM me and we'll talk, no big whoop. </CoffeeTalkvoice>

Shame these boxes don't have English subs (right?), and that I can't speak Japanese. Would solve a whole lot of problems if I did.
For one, I could see DBZ nonbastardized. (I hate you, FUNi.)

Um... their latest movie releases are basically the EXACT same thing as the movies dragon box. I have Dragon Box The Movies, but I will still be buying Funimation's releases of the movies on Blu-Ray. Also, for the series you can still get the single releases in 4:3. The only problem I see with the season sets is the widescreen cropping, which is fairly easy to look past.
Anyway, back on topic. Why would you get rid of your scouters!? They are soooo awesome!

Well, yeah, it was a general rant about the series. Too expensive to buy all of the individual discs, and don't they cut off at a certain point anyway? (Or are all the other DVDs not part of that series subbed anyway?)
And there's three major issues I see with the season sets. One, as you mentioned, the cropping, which is a huge deal to me, considering I'm an original aspect ratio kinda guy. Seriously, it bugs the hell out of me. Two, from screenshots I've seen, there is some horrid contrast boosting, causing things to look washed out and all too bright. Lastly, D(V)NR. I'm all for use of DNR when it's for removing scratches and dirt present on the film (though not film grain--I like grain), but I can't stand when it goes unsupervised and erases actual lines of animation. It's an all too common problem in animation on DVD.
Edit: Actually, according to Amazon, there's plenty of copies of each individual DVD for just a few cents each. Could people really be wanting to get rid of their copies THAT BAD with the season sets out?

This thread is not for discussing FUNimation's season sets, comparisons between releases, etc. Please stay on-topic and allow Milton to conduct the sale. Thanks.

Man I'm so psyched, I can actually get this, Holy Crap
I've IMed you Milton, I'll have the money on my card by either Saturday or Monday.
My mum's a bit weary of it though,
she wants proof you actually have it, I think you should take a picture of all of it with "Brilliant Scientist" or "Let that Child Alone" written on a Piece of Paper placed on the box.

She also wants to know why you're selling...

Sorry for all this trouble, my mum doesn't trust the Internet, and I can't really blame her.
