Big Green dub - Movie 8 and Bardock Special

I know I'm supposed to hate Big Green dub Kurirrin I just...can't. That voice is friggin' awesome.

To be fair the dub HAS improved since the first movie.

Another hilarious dub is the Malaysian English dub. You can see a clip of it in this video (alos by kei17) at 8:05; right after it is the same clip but from this "Big Green Dub".

Does anyone know what all was dubbed by both this group and the Malaysian group (in English) that I mentioned.

It was probably done for educational purposes. I know that foreign countries often see America as a potential country, and invest in making English a mandatory class in schools; so maybe dubbing a popular show in a language you are trying to teach to kids was for making it into a learning tool.

If only they did that over here (with Dragonball)...

It's like they took a note from Speed Racer in their dubbing, but at least they're using the right music on the first try.

I never understood how it's possible to point and laugh at the crappynes of this dub, yet consider something like this perfectly watchable. They both sound like intentionally bad fan parodies.

Not that I want to start a dub VS. sub argument here but he does have a point. I mean listen to the grunting,music, voice work and dialouge of the Freeza through imperfect Cell arcs. They really are just as bad in a different way.

For the "Big Green" dub I believe DB movies 1-3, DBZ movies 1-9, and all 3 specials were dubbed. As for the Malaysian dub I believe all movies were dubbed

...Last I checked a lot of people here do bash the dub occasionally.

And also, at least to me, the FUNimation, and heck, even the Ocean group(series) dub are leagues above this dub in terms of acting.

I agree. I feel that even the Season 3 performances showed more effort and emotion than the "Big Green" dub.

Don't get me wrong, I think FUNi's dub is horrible too. The thing is the FUNi dub isn't laughable bad, it's just bad.

People make fun of FUNimation's dub all the time here, from what I've seen. Lots of "BIG DADDEH G4LIC" and "KLIYLYNZ IN DA HOUZ" everywhere.
