I really like what you did for those two times that Gohan snapped. If you can make it nerdy and badass like that continuously, please continue doing it. It's memorable even amongst people I know who don't normally watch your series.

You didn't have an extra tidbit at the very end, though, like you normally do.

I found the vulgar language to be distasteful and would like for it not to be included from now on. It felt like I was watching some parody made by 12-year-olds who think "cussing is cool." I expected better based on what I have seen from the previous parody episodes. The cursing-based "jokes" have to go, as they degrade the overall quality of the parody. The well-timed Chaozu comment is an example of a good joke: "He's here... and there... ... and there..."

I've seen 'cursing is cool' stuff before. This was no where near as bad as that. Swearing is fine when used right and I think they used it right. Sparingly and at the right moment.

See Ikki Tousen manga (aka Battle Vixens) for an example of using swearing the wrong way.

Cussing is cool?

The entire joke was, Gohan goes nuts. Him swearing was the focal point of that, anything else wouldn't have worked.

Furthermore, Vegeta is a rough guy. Him swearing is quite along the lines for a character like that, so saying "God damnit, Nappa." and the like are just going to be his thing. No one else in the series really swears heavily.

Cussing in our show has always been about humor and timing, not about making things more adult or 'cool.' If you have a problem with cursing, then I'm sorry, but they're going to be around. Shit and Fuck with always be censored, as will any other of the other letter-designated-bombs, but they'll still be used appropriately.

Gohan's character in our show is to be a nice, appropriate, intelligent character. However, when he snaps, he loses the nice and appropriate, which is better than just having him lose his intelligence and spout off curse word after baseless curse word, to me. It also works in favor of his habit of going berserk against his enemies.

I would LIKE to know what you thought was wrong with the rest of the episode. This is a great place for us to get feedback, and you already called out our scripting.

Gohan, in both of his rage rants, only actually swore twice ("You insufferable fucking simpleton!" and "I'm going to skull-fuck you!"). The other times, he was being vulgar, but he didn't actually drop any fuck-bombs (or any other swears). Just saying.

Oh, I was fine with the parts with the F-bombs. It's not Snapping nerd-vulgar! that bothers quite as much as the content of said fit of insanity + the character... but that's why it's a parody, I guess.

Goku makes Vegeta bleed his own blood. [Maybe Goku annoys Vegeta in a way that reminds him of Nappa]. Vegeta go crazy and try to blow up the planet. Beam Struggle. Yajirobe comes out of nowhere and is like, "He's such a stud" (Yay, Ocean / Saban dub script.

The only real problem I think many people would see and would advise you guys to be careful of would be to fall into the old-fashioned trap of "catchphrase humor".

The episode did seem a little reliant on catchphrases at certain points, or over-using certain types of jokes. I mean, there's nothing wrong with catchphrases but it'd be nice to see more "newer" stuff.

That's easier said than done, but that's pretty much the only real issue I had with it. Now, I dunno, maybe you have some fans that just want to see the same thing over and over. Personally, I'd like to see the jokes more varied, so that the "shock factor" we had when initially watching it is back.

As for the swearing, I never really had an issue with it. It didn't seem like it was done out of laziness or inability to construct a better gag, but that's another trap comedians often fall into. I don't really have a problem with swearing, I'd be more worried if you started censoring it to pander to conservative people who believe in censoring everything.

Anyway, that's my honest opinion. I dunno, maybe it'll be of some use to you. I would've said this in an actual video comment, but I would've gotten flamed by some of your more die-hard fanboys.

Vulgarity may not always lower the quality of the script in comedy. I felt the cussing was used appropiately in this case. Sometimes the simpler, lowest-common-denominator jokes are the best for the specific moment. Not every gag has to be high-brow (although I would like a few more of them!

It has nothing to do with "cursing is cool." What it has to do with is a complete and instantaneous shift in Gohan's personality that lasts only for a mere moment before returning to his normal self while still retaining the fact that he's a nerd throughout the whole thing.

Also, as stated above, he only cursed twice and the cursing seems more appropriate for the moment than him being like "You cruddy danghead!"

I think it should stay.

Either way, should I look forward to an end of March episode 10 (as it seems to be the recent trend with the episodes).

I thought Gohan's snapping was depicted perfectly. Honestly, who among us hasn't snapped and let out a momentary flurry of cursing while working on a car/appliance/etc.? The fact that Gohan kept his typical mannerisms and speech made it all the more classic.

Personally, this episode is one of my favorites so far.

And the second time is just gold.

Shut up. Stop getting so easily offended get your head out of your ass. If you don't want to hear cussing, then don't fucking watch it; don't request such a ridiculous and unreasonable thing to KaiserNeko, especially since the line was so well-delivered and was funny as hell. Do you turn off a rated-R movie when you hear the word "fuck?"

What's even better about the Gohan cussing is the fact that he is 5 years old at the time. I can't wait to hear what he says when he's a SSJ2 fighting Cell. I realize it may be a couple years, but I will always be a fan of TFS' Abridged parody. Keep up the good work.

Here they are, not exactly sure what you wanted so I made 3 versions. If you want any change I shall do it. If you want a different size I shall resize it. If you want anything else I'll make it.

Normally I would use something better than Imageshack to upload GIFs, but it is late at night and I am about to go to bed so I took the simple route.
