Turles: A little background!

Can anybody give me a little background on Turles? For example, I heard that he is Goku's long lost twin brother over at www.dragonball.wikia.com. Is this true, because I just want to make sure.

He's a doppelganger to show us what Goku would be like if he had retained his Saiyan nature. All we know is that he's from the same level of Low Level Saiyans as Goku, which is why they look alike. Thanks to using the Tree's fruits on many planets, his PL eventually surpasses 300,000 (greater than Goku's "over 30,000" at Kaioken x10). His goal is rule over the Universe instead of Freeza.

"Aside from a different skin tone and two "devil horns" in his hair, Turles looks exactly the same as Goku. In the French dub of the film, it claimed that Turles was actually Goku's long-lost identical twin brother. Nothing is actually stated in the movie or official Japanese publications to this extent. In the Dragon Ball Z: Anime Film Comics, it was stated that the reason why Turles and Goku looked alike is because within the low-rank Saiyans, the facial patterns of each warrior were similar, thus making it easy to mark which Saiyans were low-class warriors, although Turles said that Goku was "low-class trash", implying Turles may not have been a low-class Saiyan after all."

I always thought this was it, plus he's not canon so, it could have also just been lazy character design

The rumor of Tullece being Goku's brother was popularized in the French dub of movie three, and I think that might be where it started.
