Here we go again- Broly battling characters that are way strong for his league. At least isn't Gogeta.

It sort of looks like a continuation of Burst Limit final fight- Broly vs. SSJ2 Goku.

Those are X360 images.
o_0 I knew the graphics are awful but this is too much. Burst Limit in-game even looks better than RB intro. :P

I agree the model isn't that great (Goku's body looks like that of a child) but what is wrong with the hair?

Eh, as long as the graphics don't interfere with gameplay, I don't really care how it looks.

All that matters to me is that it plays fun, and it has my OTP in it.

And, let's not forget, they still have a ways to go til it goes gold.

Because how a character's hair looks is ALL THAT MATTERS IN GAMING. Good gameplay? Fuck that noise. GOKU HAS TOO MANY SPLIT ENDS!

And his sense of symmetry is way off, one of the spikes go way above the other.

Personally, after its exclusion from the original Budokai, I'll be honest and say that seeing Super Saiyan 3 in any DragonBall game makes me too excited to notice or care about how it may or may not look "right". Budokai 2 was my favorite (modern) DragonBall game of all time for being an all-out celebration of the Boo arc-- fuck, even the SSJ3 ability in Buu's Fury made me squeal with fanboy glee, and it was fucking sprite-based.

I would have just loved to see a rendition of Super Saiyan 3 in Burst Limit.

Okay so assuming the roster contains 60 characters we can pretty much assume the following are going to be in-

Goku
Gohan (kid)
Gohan (preteen)
Gohan (adult)
Vegeta
Majin Vegeta
Trunks
Future Trunks'
Goten
Kid Trunks
Raditz
Nappa
Saibamen
Kuririn
Piccolo
Tenshinhan
Yamcha
Choutzu
Great Ape
Gotenks
Mr.Satan
Zarbon
Dodoria
Ginyu
Recoome
Jheese
Butta
Gurd
Freeza
17
18
19
20
Cell
Cell Jr.
Videl
Buu (Fat)
Super Buu
Chibi Buu
Brolly
Vegerot

That's 41 characters the rest are guess work but looking at Tenkaichi 1 and 2 I think the following characters are going to be the most likely additions.

Cooler
Yajarobe
Chibi Goku
Omega Shenron
Baby
Oob
Gogeta
Jenemba
Super 17
Turles
Slug
Metal Cooler
Super 13
Bojack
Salza
Hirudigarn
Tapion
Nova Shenron

Bringing the total to around 60.

Let's be realistic here. How many Dragonball games have you seen where the beta-models look noticably superior to the finished ones?

The graphics are incredible. For the first time there are destructable environments.

Turned it off after that.

EDIT: The 'Charing Ki' effect looks pityful.

Have a link to any beta screenshots? You have piqued my interest with that statement sir.

Can they for once just get a decent pitch man for these booths who's seen the show more than once and is actually knowledgeable on the game he is describing?

"This is the first time we've have destructible environments"

Um, yeah we've had those since Budokai 1...

"Signature attacks such as Goku's kamehameha and.... uh..... moving on"

RIP Billy Mays, he would've sold the hell out of this game.

Again, who gives a fuck about graphics? Mirror's Edge and Final Fantasy XII proved that pretty does not necessarily equal good.

Though that is very true, Raging blast is comparable to Sparking! Meteor which is quite bad seeing as what the current generation can offer so much more. I mean just take a look at the games levels and the character models.

Cyberconnect 2 done a remarkable job with Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm this generation, and the jump from Narutimate Accel 2 to Ninja Storm was stunning. They can do a lot better than this. Just my 2 cents.

It's okay to want good graphics to coincide with good gameplay. Just because SPARKING has proven to be fun in the past doesn't excuse it from meeting the current expectations in the graphical department.

Just for the record, I don't think the game looks bad. It looks mediocre. We'll have to see what it looks like in motion, when the game is in our hands.
