I'll agree with the Piccolo backstory idea. You see this in clips in both DB and DBZ, so a full version would make sense (it'd be kind of like the Bardock special).

and maybe 1 that shows the history of Freeza and his brother Cooler? linking up the Bardock special with the Coolers movie?
But that would imply the movies are canon when in reality some of them simply are too inconsistent and full of plot holes to be canon, sorry to burst that bubble. Would've been a nice Idea though.

... yeah, I agree with you. The TV Special
s were related to the plots of the TV series in
one way or another.
I guess the best ideas would be the history on Piccolo, Dr Gero and yes, Buu!

A villain special would be pretty good actually but I would love it if Goku and friends wen't back in time and witnessed and talked about the early years.
