Songs that suprise you with DragonBall twists

Post by vershiris » Tue Aug 25, 2009 11:32 am

Recently I listened to a song called "Doin Your Mom", would you expect this to have any resemblance to DragonBall at all? Well it does! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfYyBp4Ln2s skip to 1:00 and you get the lines "she invited me in the house and we started making out again, how many times have i tapped that ass OVER 9000!", that pretty much made my day.

I was also watching the a popular fan made video of a song called "The Ultimate Showdown", and at 1:53 Goku on the Kintoun appears http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WgT9gy4zQA . I know that doesnt really count but i still found it amusing. :P

So bassically i made this thread so you can share your unexpected encounters with DragonBall in music, thanks!

I really hate this whole "Over 9000" craze now. Won't it just go?

Nope. It will never disappear, so there's no sense in hating it. You can either embrace it or ignore it. I do either, depending on my mood.

I don't really know how to contribute on the topic at hand, because I can't really think of any Dragonball references in music recently. However, I do know of a few references in non-music media. The Lazer Collection 3 has cell at the end doing the Shoop da Woop. There's also a Homestar Runner where Stinkoman starts to raise his power and rocks float as he buffs up; obvious Z reference.

And nobody believed me when I said ChiChi shacked up with Vegeta after the Cell Games.
