So the Saiyan Saga will officially be called just "Saga 1"? Whats up with that?

*sigh* I guess they're out of ideas! But I do think the sub-name: "Saiyan Showdown" is pretty cool. Besides, we don't know if "Saga 1" will even be printed on the box, or if it's what RighStuf is calling it.

Yeah...I don't think they're really going to call it "Saga #1." That's just...lame. Maybe that's just what it is, but not the actual title.

Saiyan Showdown? Oh God...

Kuririn: Congraturation, Goku!

Raditz: Join the dark guy, or perish!
Goku: Never make fool of me, Saiyan! Kill you!
Raditz: Then die, you crazy funster!

Narrator: Huh, now is the time for all beginning.

Goku: Don't be hateful, each other. Love is the best strength.

Goku: Is it OK in this direction?
Kaio: Don't worry, believe you!
Goku: You're so strong!

Goku: That spirit, he is no ordinally man.

Vegeta: Can you bear to my final attack?

Vegeta: Now that the world is just for me, and you have gone to destraction.
It's party time, Ginyu style!

^I did, too.

And I think that'd be a fine name. Sounds cool/fitting enough to me.

Yeah...the story arc should have something about Saiyans in the title, not just Vegeta. I mean, he is the main villain, but the saga isn't really about him. But I've seen him as the figure used to describe the Saiyan story arc...like in that one video game. I guess it's to fit the theme of one major villain for each of the four major arcs...thus, Vegeta, Freeza, Cell, and Buu.

Or they just did it to avoid confusion with the Pioneer disks, since most stores still carry them in stock. This way it's easier to find and order the exact disks you're looking for.

So, the above links are just one disc?

I just want to buy them all in one huge swoop, all 1-64 episodes. A boxed set better be around in the month of April. I'm not in the mood for waiting around for single discs every few months, with 3-4 episodes, and a $20.00 price tag. There are too many discs as it is. Please, for the sake of my DVD stands(and my wallet), 5 episodes per disc would be nice ...

Every listing I've seen, including rightstuff and animeondvd, gives a running time of 62 minutes. At three episodes per discs, "saga 1" would be 10-11 discs total. I guess Funimation wants to be "consistant" with the rest of their DBZ DVD release. :P

This reminds me of a topic about supplements, actually. The only thing it tells us?

They can't name stuff.

For the love of God, who wants to pay $20.00 for the first 3 episodes of DBZ. Borfest. FUNimation, please get a clue ... at least include 5 episodes for the first disc, wrapping up the whole Radditz fight scene. Who wants that drawn out more. And just the thought of paying $20.00 for 3 episodes of Gohan's training ... ugh.

Couldn't they call it "Saiyan Saga Redux" or something cool?
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Sadly, since I'm not given a choice... me... :(

I will be buying these, but with a air of spite and loathing about me. I mean, I love DBZ, but it does piss me off how it's used as a real cash-cow sometimes... But, such is the world...

Why can't they do it like they did DB, with half or a whole saga in one box?

And yeah, the name does suck... But maybe it will change? Or... maybe not...

As we get better technology, it will probably be easier to buy the entire series. Imagine how many episodes can be included when Blu-Ray comes out... or even better those 1TB discs they are working on (I believe the entire DB/Z/GT series could fit one one double sided 1TB disc... of course technology like that won't be out for another ten years at least).
