Meh I guess. Either way I don't think I'd be able to go (school night) wish I could, but have a nice time.

Don't feel bad, I figure going at 16 wouldn't give me any better a result - even if I was in Jersey.
[quote="Brakus"]For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.[/quote]

I don't feel bad at all. In fact I don't mind if I don't go. Even though I'm in Jersey I don't know how long the drive would've been.

Corey's gonna be out cold on the floor, though. Just sayin'.
Oh Corey..... I gotta make sure that boy doesn't get into too much trouble! ^_~

Count me in for sure. (After all, it's the Bruns.) Sapporo's a nice choice!

Aaaand, if it's at all reassuring to anyone who's worried about the drinking at this thing: I won't be drinking (and I am of age). Mainly because, well, Mike and Corey can attest to my lack of ability to drink. XD ....and I need to be able to drive home. So yeah.

Er, so if that helps at all... ^^;

I'm afraid I should be listed as "mostly confirmed." Getting there is no problem, but it's still dependent on future job schedules. Though I'll sure try my best.

I'm gonna have to say I can't go. Mix of issues, between work and money and not knowing what the thing's gonna be like and a lingering distaste for North Jersey, eh... sorry guys. Some other time.

Wish I could stop by but living in Illinois without a car means it's likely my delicate Irish brogue will be missed by all. I'm still looking into it though.

No chance this would fall into the path of a possible 'carivan'? :?

Uhh... for those of you planning a "trip" of any sorts... I hope you're thinking about somewhere to stay...

Anyway...

So I'm checking train schedules for that Saturday, and there's plenty of stuff available outta New York - Penn Station:

(departs NY / line / arrives NB / length)
02:14 PM - NEC 03:10 PM 56 minutes
02:55 PM - NEC 03:49 PM 54 minutes
03:15 PM - NEC 04:10 PM 55 minutes
03:52 PM - NEC 04:45 PM 53 minutes
04:14 PM - NEC 05:11 PM 57 minutes
04:54 PM - NEC 05:49 PM 55 minutes
05:14 PM - NEC 06:11 PM 57 minutes
05:53 PM - NEC 06:45 PM 52 minutes
06:14 PM - NEC 07:10 PM 56 minutes

And then for return:

(departs NB / line / arrives NY / length)
07:02 PM - NEC 07:55 PM 53 minutes
07:29 PM - NEC 08:32 PM 63 minutes
08:29 PM - NEC 09:34 PM 65 minutes
09:29 PM - NEC 10:35 PM 66 minutes
10:29 PM - NEC 11:35 PM 66 minutes
11:29 PM - NEC 12:32 AM 63 minutes
12:29 AM - NEC 01:35 AM 66 minutes
01:29 AM - NEC 02:49 AM 80 minutes

It's a ridiculously easy train ride... you go straight... and get off in New Brunswick...

I don't remember how much of IL fell into the path that HoustonRH7 mentioned... but it isn't too far out of the way ... I'll try to consult GoogleMaps again and post stuff...

[edit] So, it looks like the quickest route makes for a total of 52 or so miles... Unless I'm reading it wrong, in which case it's 239... in IL. Ehehehehe...
The journey from St. Louis to Indianapolis looks to be the shortest, though... I have no idea how possible it'd be to grab interested Illinoites on that leg. ... anyone... got better geography / driving knowledge that can help? :?
*Saves directions*
[/edit]
[edit2] A detour through Chicago would cost about 3 hours, according to Dr. Google. I have no idea how the most of this would wind up panning out day/time-wise (Hitting St Louis Thursday night, maybe getting to Colombus Friday night...? I dunno.).
I'm just speculating at this point.

As much as I'm excited about people coming to hang out, please don't go out of your way. I mean... we're just going to some local place to chill for a couple hours.

Hmm..I was just lurking around and happened to notice that you guys are gonna be in the Rutgers area, which..is where I go to school!

I can't join in due to some personal business, but Sapporo's a good place because...hey! They don't card. So all of you underage drinkers out there, go have a ball (not that I'm supporting it, just putting it out there  Although...)!

Kind of off topic-ish, but: Whooooo! Go Rutgers! (Hehe, I go there too!) I heard we got destroyed by Syracuse yesterday! ><

Ahaha, I didn't even know Sapporo had a bar, but I've only been there once - met up with Mike, actually. It's a nice place, though. New Brunswick's got a lot of pretty nice places to eat/hang. ^^

I didn't notice it had a bar, either. Did it not have it there before, maybe...? It's directly inside to the left, up well before the seating area. I thought that was a kinda extra place to have, in addition to the main dinner area and sushi bar.

Also, yeah, it's totally cliche for anime fans to meet up at a Japanese restaurant... but, hey... it had everything I was looking for :P.
