Dragon Box 2 And Dragon Ball Season 3 Cover Art.
So, these images have been out for a couple of hours now. What do you guys think of having Vegeta on the cover of the second Dragon Box? At first I thought it was a little odd but, then I remembered it's a fucking DragonBox and I let it slide.

I honestly think that that Freeza artwork from the first Japanese DragonBox would be more appropriate, but, it's whatever. I absolutely adore this picture of Vegeta, so, I'm not going to complain... Even if he doesn't actually wear that armor on Namek... --;
Though, I think this means they won't be using that particular image of Freeza, since this would have been the perfect time to use it. Of course, there were only six characters on the Japanese DragonBoxes to begin with, so they were going to have to use another source for at least one of them anyway.

Yeah, no complaints from me about the cover art.
Even the Dragon Ball Season 3 art is pretty cool.... nice to see Old Timer getting some cover time.

Actually, Roshi (disguised as Jackie Chun) does go into that form during these episodes.FuniYamcha wrote:....Episode 08 Roshi?!? I see we still have to deal with the random pictures like on the Orange Bricks....

Sad they didn't go with the obvious choice (Freeza) but at least they're using the original artwork. That's all I really care about. Maybe they'll put him on Box 3 since that's mostly Freeza fight stuff, anyway.

Wow, Muten Roshi gets a season set cover! I like both of them a lot.
Episode 84, that's the episode Dende dies and Vegeta takes on Freeza. It's 42 episodes again. 42 times 7 is....294. That means if they keep going with 42 episodes per box, the last box will contain 39 episodes with the sixth disc having 4 episodes on it.
I don't know, they might be able to pull off the 2 TV specials on that set....

I just checked, and he has no shoulder armor on the latter half of the episodes that will be on that set.CashmanX wrote:That's android saga Vegeta, Right?

Yeah, but those are the pants he wears when he first uses the Kamehameha. I have no problem with Roshi being on the cover, but I would have preferred if they used one of him as Jackie Chun.Shigeru wrote:Actually, Roshi (disguised as Jackie Chun) does go into that form during these episodes.FuniYamcha wrote:....Episode 08 Roshi?!? Not a problem.
Look at the straps.Shiyonasan wrote:I just checked, and he has no shoulder armor on the latter half of the episodes that will be on that set.CashmanX wrote:That's android saga Vegeta, Right?
They look exactly like the armor that Bulma made.

Yeah, but the armor he wears against Freeza doesn't have the "ammo-belt" shoulder straps. It just has plain white material on the shoulders. The armor on that cover isn't seen until he shows up to trash Android 19.Shiyonasan wrote:I just checked, and he has no shoulder armor on the latter half of the episodes that will be on that set.
To a strong man, the end justifies the means. To a stronger man, the means justify the end.

You're right. Well, it's not that big of a deal, at least to me.CashmanX wrote:Look at the straps.Shiyonasan wrote:I just checked, and he has no shoulder armor on the latter half of the episodes that will be on that set.CashmanX wrote:That's android saga Vegeta, Right?

Roshi on Season 3 - my wish is granted! Don't care that this form isn't in these episodes; I see the Season covers as a collage of characters, not indicative of content (or at least that's what I tell myself so I can sleep at night).
And I like Vegeta for DBox 2. These are the episodes where he's fleshed out more, after all.

I like it. Vegeta looks a little different than usual, but its a good different.
I hope Freeza is on the third box, though.
