The only time they really censored death in awhile was that old couple on TV during the Buu saga. I think it was just because of its disturbing nature.Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:Why don't they want people to know that he died? I mean, dying is something FUNi would censor.
Is there censorship in the Shonen Jump?

I remember some old-now-deceased DBZ sites say something along the same lines when Dodoria killed the three Namek warriors. It was edited on the old dub with "breathing sounds" though the scene in the Viz manga is pretty much untouched.Jerseymilk wrote:I can't blame them for that to tell you the truth. That death I think disturbed me the most out of all the deaths in DBZ. The others being Kuririn's at the hand of Freeza and Piccolo's "supposed death" from Cell.

Maybe Shonen Jump is partnered with the Stop Domestic Violence Againest Old People Organization. I mean, they supposedly join up with the PETA ya know? O_O
No, they're still in print. However, the new prints don't include all the insert stuff (ads, intreviews, etc.). So basically, you won't get those "other artists draw Dragonball" things...B-kun wrote:Shit, they're out of print already?
Just go to amazon.co.jp, hit the tab on the top for books (本), then put Dragonball (ドラゴンボール) in the search field. Voila!
