Future Trunks in GT?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

Nyoibou / Power Pole
Actually I think they kept that. I don't even remember them referring to the Nyoibou in Dragonball Z, but in the Dragonball dub it's called Nyoibou. The only time I've heard it referred to as 'Power Pole' is in Budokai 3.
No you are wrong, the "Nyoibou" is called the "Power Pole" in the Dragonball Dub.
Must be another difference between the American and Canadian dubs then, because I watch the Dragonball on YTV up here in Canada regularly (every weeknight almost) and it is always referred to as 'Nyoibou'.

EDIT: Oh, Porco Rosso confirmed it a few posts back. Oops :P

Hahahaha. Anyway, I can't say it... Lol... I just tried for 5 minutes, and I can't pronounce it the way I hear it in my head.

I is so sad.
I can say it, I can say it. :D *does a "I win at life" dance*

I don't think people are saying you're being hard headed because of that. I think it has more to do with you insisting that something said in the dub, and trust me, it's only said in the dub, is cold, hard fact and I'm sorry but it's just not. And even if you say that the Saiyan saga dub examples don't count because that dub was screwed up, I can give you examples from other sagas where the dub took liberties.
I've stopped reading at this point cause this his just gotten to the point where I'm starting to.. gah, whatever. Just gonna get to my point. Trunks was mentioned in the DUB version of the Buu Saga. That's fact. That's the point.

<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

I don't speak Japanese, either. I'm perfectly capable of watching the show in Japanese, though. That's what that Japanese audio track with subtitles is for.

And it does matter a whole lot. What you hear in the English dub isn't necessarily the same thing that's actually being said in the Japanese version. I don't know jack about Star Wars, so this is a really weird analogy for me to use, but if Darth Vader happened to say "Luke, I am your uncle!" in a Japanese dub of the movie... that doesn't mean he's the uncle. It means the line is incorrect, and shouldn't be taken seriously.
Vader dub: "Luke, I just cut off your hand."
Luke dub: "NOOO!!!!"
Japanese dubbie: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN "No"?! Did you not notice that it's been lopped off at the wrist? God, I wish he froze YOU in carbonated soda instead of Hands Too-low!"
