What's expensive about that? Also, I love how everyone was envious and cared about the French releases before the American dragonboxes, as opposed to now when barely anyone seems to care.

Also worth noting that even though France has gotten decent releases, they've also managed to mess it up one way or another. The movies had crap remasters that looked like laserdisc, and the series DID get the dragonbox... but, the Pioneer DVDs had better bitrate.
For all the flack that FUNimation gets on this forum for their quote about DBZ, there's some modicum of truth to it: a 9-year-old is born every day. Or in some cases, "reborn". DBZ may be a kids' show, but it's been so close to so many hearts all over Japan, America, and quite possibly, even the world.
I dunno about laserdisc, and it's worth noting that not all the movies look alike, but sadly the DBZ dvds' encoding had way too much pixelation. Maybe not encoding, but the encoding was bad...

€110 for 68 episodes on 12 discs isn't too bad. Around €1.68 per episode. Especially considering the Dragon Box here originally went for around $80 for 42 episodes. Anyone who got it for lower got a real bargain.

The cover art sucks! That's awful ! Why didn't they let Kaze make the packaging? :?

Got it for a real bargain? DBoxes are $35. I paid that for both of mine. The MSRP may have been $80 originally but, has been reduced and no one paid that unless they're insane.

The art work on this set looks terrible. $150 for 68 episodes is crazy. I've seen bootlegs that look better then this. Only thing I see that is even worth buying this for is if you're a fan of the french dub. Other than that it seems like a huge waste of money.

Everybody's entitled to have their own opinion, and honestly, I think the art work looks good.

Except for the abstract design on the dvds themselves, the box art here's lovely. Cool for you guys, if you haven't gotten it all before.

EDIT- come to think of it, has any release taken the logical step and made the disks out like actual dragonballs?

Well, I'll admit the outer Box design itself looks decent.

I now have this boxset with me, and have watched the first 9 episodes, so my question is as follows: is anyone interested in pictures of content and the art?
