How can anyone say the dub is the only reason to buy?

What about the massively improved pacing?
No more awful filler and padding to draw out every episode.
Surely that's the main reason to get Kai, at least for me.

I think the option to watch an accurate English dub of a DB Anime with the voices we know and love (minus a few changes), is really drawing people into Kai.

Those are good reasons...but what I was saying was that the dub was the biggest reason to buy. We can get all that with the manga/keyhole streaming every week.

Not all of us love the voices, they're still totally mismatched, I'm just happy they're going in a different direction with the acting.

Any chance of a comparison between the DVD menus and the Blu-ray menus? I'm told the BD ones are much better.

Because watching it illegally is not in any way morally reprehensible, not to mention it's a great way to support the show.

I'll be checking out the Nicktoons broadcast all this week, and hopefully I should get a chance to let you guys know what some of the edits will be. (At least compared to the Japanese version, I don't have the FUNi release yet.)
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Keyhole isn't illegal.

Yeah, I honestly have a hard time seeing the difference between grabbing video off of Keyhole and the old days where I'd stick a tape in my VCR and "steal" the footage off of my television. Then again, anti-piracy advocates once tried to stop the push of the VCR for that very reason. But, funnily enough, the entertainment industry still thrives, and the people at the top can still afford gold-plated diapers.

Not that I condone piracy, but I think the people who define it want to define it as broadly as the confines of common sense will stretch.

If you can get keyhole to be more then a slide show of still images you deserve to keep the footage.

Given that Keyhole is sponsored by the Japanese government and all, a better analogy would be "watching a show at a friend's house instead of turning on your own TV". I'd like to see someone who'd find that morally wrong.

Haha, good point. That's basically what I've heard, but I admit I've never attempted to watch Kai live.

I agree. But I'm sure KN was more-so referencing to the "fansubbing" I put in small text.

EDIT: So I'm watching through my Kai set, and I dunno if this has been brought up, but during the end credits of Episode 2, the subtitle track showed the romaji lyrics.

So I just learned something, and I don't know if it was mentioned or not somewhere else...

The images used on the Kai DVD and Blu-Ray were actually created by FUNimation, in the sense of creating the "fresh" and new series.

I found it quite interesting.

I think Tom Dubois of "The Boondocks" said it best for me when FUNimation announced the release of the domestic Dragonbox, after buying all of the Season Sets: "MOTHERFUCK!!! SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT, PRICKS, SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIIIIIIIT!"

According to the official Budokai 2 strategy guide, FUNimation also did the covers for the first 3 Budokai games. They designed the sketches, and then sent them over to Toei so they could touch it up.

That's really cool how their going to be changing the color per box set, so most likely it will have Vegeta on the second box with a blue trim, one more reason why I want the DVD version (so it doesn't clash).

Was in Walmart today and they were carrying the DVD version for $29.99 but I didn't have my money with me was so upset. :x
