Ginyu: Will you please shut up?!
Jeice (Off screen): Right, right, sorry about that  .
The Kai Dub is more accurate, having Ginyu just say shut up misses the whole point of the joke.

As for the new Ginyu voices:

Ginyu: He's good, has a commanding voice that Brice lacked. Armstrong has a nice voice but for Ginyu it was hampered by turning the gravelly evil villain dial up to much. Plus Ginyu pegs me as a younger character so I definitely like the new guy better.

Ghurd: Best of the bunch I'd say, he sounds like a deranged midget, a very fun voice that fit nicely.

Butta: A evil alien voice for a evil alien design, good enough.

Reacoom: Surprisingly I think I'm liking it so far, I think the jock-like qualities are coming through. I really enjoyed Chris's delivery's about the fighting pose being "out of whack". I'll fully decide on this voice when the character starts fighting Vegeta

Jheese: There is some hate for this voice, but not from me. Yes there is an accent still, but it's toned the hell down and I feel this actor pulls it off with his vocal type. He has this threatening Malcolm Mcdowell like quality that my ears enjoy so he is fine with me.

So overall, with the exception of Ghurd, none of these new voices really blew me away, but they didn't disappoint me ether. They fit the characters fine and are more or less solidly acted.

I finally got to see the episode for myself, and overall I'm pleased. Ginyu sounds pretty good. Gurd and Butta are... well, more or less how you'd expect goofy aliens to sound.

Jheese still having the Australian accent is a bit disappointing. BUT, it's been toned down and feels FAR more natural now. I can dig it.

Reacoom is still in "wait and see" territory for me. He only had a few lines in this episode, but thankfully, none of them sounded distinctly 'retard-ish.' It was more like a 'dumb jock' tone, which works for him. I'm still withholding judgment on him until next week, when he gets an entire episode practically to himself.

This is the art of bashing in skulls that has been in the Ginyu Force FOR GENERATIONS!!

... Sorry, I'm so sorry. :P

Anyway, I don't really have much to say about the new Ginyus. They're good, I guess. Of course, I was generally happy with the old ones too.

Thought the ep was ok. Though with cast was expecting someone to make a crack about Gohan sending Burter, Jeice, and Reacoom on a quest to save Jeice's girlfriend.

Agreed. While I'm not denying that there were some stupid and out of place jokes in FUNimation's dub of Dragon Ball, a lot of them actually sounded like something the character would say and were genuinely funny. Also, keep in mind that Dragon Ball had a lot of Japanese puns and jokes that were pretty much untranslatable to English.

In the Ocean dub it goes
Ginyu: Round up the prisoners, and unless they resist do not harm them.
Jeice: This is going to be fun. Just one false move kids, and then you're all mine, and then I'll turn your lights out.
Ginyu: Would you please be quiet.

Yeah it's a complete rewrite that makes no sense to me.

They "spiced it up" with the braided hair comment, but the Kai dub pretty much got the intent right, which is what matters most.

It's great having 4 really good actors play the other Ginyus even if Sabat had to keep Reacoom.

The original line implied domestic violence, and you can't have that on Nicktoons. :P

Seriously though, FUNi just took the original line and localized it. They replaced a Japanese expression with the American equivalent.

The original line had Jheese over explaining things that didn't need to be, which is pointed out by Ginyu. The Kai dub retained the spirit of the joke, whether they change the braided hair part for the uncut dub or not.

Exactly. The joke is the same. It's not like it's a Japanese specific joke. It's just Jhees trying too hard.

Ok, just got caught up on the Nicktoons site (Was kinda behind due to lots of stuff going on)

Freeza's voice just seems to get better and better, I LOVE it!

The Ginyu Special Corps' voices are all pretty good... Except Jheese... I wish FUNimation would pull the shrimp off the Barbie for the DVDs and BDs... But I guess he doesn't say much in Kai and will be gone soonish... just, uugh... This was one of the things I thought they'd have done away with in Kai...

It's actually the opposite with Frieza for me. He just seems to be getting worse and worse. I mean, in that episode where he was attacking the Namek village, he was awesome, but now it's just really unpleasant sounding. Bleh.

I think I just set myself up for "LOLOLOL BUT U LIKE LINDA YOUNG" Oh well, I don't care
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Why is it unpleasant sounding? It's pretty much lost all of the gruff, so wouldn't that make it more pleasant sounding?

LOLOLOL BUT U LIKE LINDA YOUNG!!
Did I do it right?

But seriously, I think the fact that you always liked Linda young makes you biased in that you're not gonna like anything that doesn't sound like Young.

But...I just said he at least WAS awesome. But in all of these recent episodes, he just hasn't sounded very good to me. I reeeeeallly liked him in the Namek village episode, and the epiosde after that, but ever since then it's just kinda lost a step.

No I know I got that. But what do you mean? Is he doing something different? Or is it just one of those things you feel but can't explain?

That first part was directed at DemonRin. It's just that...when he's doing the whole polite thing he sounds really awesome, but once he does anything beyond that it's just really annoying sounding.

Ah I gotcha. I guess that's just a matter of opinion then because I don't have a problem with it.
