PTETS remake music
As we all know there is going to be a remake of The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans for Raging Blast 2 and they will probably make a new musical score for it. So wich songs are you looking forward to being remixed? Or do you want there to be a entirely new OST made?

Re: PTETS remake music
I don't really care at this stage. But if I had to choose, I'd want brand new music since it is a brand new special.

Re: PTETS remake music
I should finish my score for it
Though it was a little bit too Faulconer-esque at first. That's what the fandubbers wanted.
Here's my version so far:
Dr. Raichi Theme

The Plot Thickens
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6743362
MistMonsterMash
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6344835
Grand Apron
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6781355
The Far West
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7580684
LandMines (my japanese spoof track)
http://morganstudios.com/LandMines.mp3
Land of Ice
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7768182
Future's Sword (not written for PTETS, but worked it in nicely)
http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7327428
I was looking forward to doing a massive organ theme for the H dude, never got that far
<Edit> Here's the score w/movie. Part3 was Trixen editing some of my existing music in, I didn't work on part 3.

Re: PTETS remake music
Can I suggest reusing Kikuchi stuff? :p
I suppose reusing the orignal score would be best, after all it will be the only time that music is ever used...

I'm speaking from Japan's perspective, as in Toei will simply reuse the tracks composed back in 1993.cRookie_Monster wrote:That's probably what Funi will do.JulieYBM wrote:Can I suggest reusing Kikuchi stuff? :p

Re: PTETS remake music
Oh I see what you mean. Yeah the original score for PTETS is not the usual Japanese score. I mean the Funimation will probably do the thing that requires the least work, which is use the original score.

Re: PTETS remake music
Will they though? They didn't reuse the old music for Kai, and in that case they even reused the animation. If they're redoing the animation I don't see why they wouldn't also record new music.JulieYBM wrote:I'm speaking from Japan's perspective, as in Toei will simply reuse the tracks composed back in 1993.cRookie_Monster wrote:That's probably what Funi will do.JulieYBM wrote:Can I suggest reusing Kikuchi stuff? :p

However, as the only person who enjoyed PTETS's score I hope they reuse the original tracks. I just don't expect them to.

Re: PTETS remake music
For Kai they used the new Japanese music, which was already there. It would have required work to go in and edit in the original score to Kai.Taku128 wrote: Will they though? <Edit, got it, yeah who knows what Toei will do. I could see new music being written or recycling Kai, one or the other>

Like in the post I quoted, I was talking about Toei.cRookie_Monster wrote:For Kai they used the new Japanese music, which was already there. Re: PTETS remake music
I have a feeling they will use at least some Kai tracks.
"Kenshi is sitting down right now drawing his mutated spaghetti monsters thinking he's the shit..."--Neptune Kai
"90% of you here don't even know what you're talking about (there are a few that do). But the things you say about these releases are nonsense and just plain dumb. Like you Metalwario64"--final_flash

Re: PTETS remake music
Since Toei is developping it as they develop Kai every week, they will likely use the musics they have for the show. That movie is essentially an "exclusive Dragon Ball Kai movie", they will use the music producer they have hired for now, and I doubt they will ask him to make new music just for a 30-minutes special that is exclusive to a mere video game. They will use the tracks he has already given them, meaning the regular tracks from the show. At least, that's my guess, and that'd be pretty fine with me, since I love the Kai soundtrack!

Re: PTETS remake music
If they aren't even dubbing it, I doubt they would go as far as making up brand new stuff for it.
[Kai should have been drawn like this is being drawn.]
