We don't need any type of 'system.'

What we need, is every character playable, from the start.
We all know who's going to be in it, there announcing everybody online via trailers and site updates. Why they see the need to make these characters unlockable is beyond me.

People that don't have the internet most likely won't know whats going to be in.

It's something fun and exciting to do, with BT#, they gave you all the old characters already and I felt like i was jumping into a game that was already played half way through.

Also, what would be the point of the game if everything was handed to you before you even start? You should have to EARN things not want everything handed to you for free like a child.

It's Imperfect Cell...oddly enough, he isn't with the rest of the Jinzoningen, though he is next to his Cell Jr.

Yeah, a clearer version of the trailer confirmed that the what-if SS3s are still separate from their counterparts.

Because only 4 characters announced on the roster so far would be Super Saiyan on the character select screen, SS3 Broli, SS3 Vegeta, Majin Vegeta and SS Gogeta. So I'm playing the odds since it looks like the hair takes up most of the square. I also thought that maybe some of the yellow was Gogeta's puffy shoulder pads...but they're orange. lol

But then why would there be an aura for one character on the selection screen when none of the other characters shown on the menu during the convention gameplay and trailer have had one?

There'd still be a point, but it would severly take away from the replay value of the game. Say what you will about the star system, but you have to admit, Raging Blast had replay value.

If the game isn't worth playing after having all the characters available to you, I'd wager it probably wasn't worth playing beforehand, either.

Isn't that how Tenkaichi 3 was? If you had saved data from Tenkaichi 2?

Possibly, I had a BT1 and BT2 complete save file when I started BT3 and almost everything was already unlocked, that severely cut down my play time on the game. I think we should start out with the Saiyans saga heroes, a movie character or twoo, and the base form of Cell and Frieza, aside from whoever we get for watching the special and pre-order bonuses.

Personally I think unlocking characters is better, because it makes you more excited at the prospect of playing as them. Sure, it's not as much fun as back in the pre-internet days, but I still prefer it.
