Blue's gay, I know, and yes, Toriyama probably used that scene to express it more (even though Toriyama's character designs aren't exactly subtle). But you can't write off someone for being gay just because they dislike women. Most gay guys aren't disgusted by girls, they just aren't sexually attracted to them. Or maybe I'm thinking about this too much.
B) Humans, as well as all animals, are biologically programed with the sole purpose of eating, sleeping, and fucking. Its waaaaaaay more common, and hilarious, to be flamboyantly homosexual than asexual.
Blue's flamboyant homosexuality is part of a gag. That's why he is disgusted by Bulma. That and Japanese culture, as far as I understand, isn't as open about gay pride or equality. Probably less so in the 80s.
